It’s funny, Gascón has become the scapegoat for the movie so everybody can pat themselves on their backs and say “well, we didn’t know”, while people in Hollywood still seem to praise Audiard, which in my opinion should be shunned as well for his comments on the Spanish language, and the fact that awards people still thought the movie was good when it’s such a piece of shit! The academy members are delulu. They have no idea what the general audience actually thinks of Emilia Perez, it seems. Demi likely thinks that Gascon was great before past tweets surfaced, and that the problem started there. If we look from the awards' perspective, that's what they're going to see. They likely don't have anyone outside their closed circle to tell them what's actually going on.

I too was surprised Zoe didn't take the opportunity to say something even indirectly about the controversy. Even if she just said something to show her support for uplifting love over hate and the importance of inclusivity. I think that would have endeared her even more to the voters and distanced her from KSG. Missed opportunity

I just wish they'll start to switch it up a bit in the acting categories. Just to make it more exciting. Start giving it to the actors and actresses who were second best. I want Demi Moore to win the Oscar, but at the same time, I wouldn't mind if Fernanda Torres wins. For now, I wouldn't mind if Mickey Madison starts to win something. I really like Kieran Culkin, and he was good in the movie "A Real Pain," but to me, the movie itself was okay. Culkin was good, but I feel that it's not much of a stretch cause it feels like he's playing himself. I'm rooting for Guy Pearce. Zoe Saldana might get the Oscar, but it'll be cool to see Ariana Grande winning some awards.

La mejor premiación fue la de Demi Moore, lo tiene todo para ganar, trayectoria, clase, humildad y sobre todo es la mejor actuación de las nominadas, su actuación en la sustancia es difícil, no al alcance de cualquiera, de otro nivel, una actuación incontestable. Of course Gascons tweets were unacceptable and I understand people being offended by Audiards comments. But the insane hate campaign right now against the movie is insane, bullying any fans of the movie as racists is not better at all. The hate campaign might be successful so that I am still here will win at the Oscars. But it is not about the movies anymore. Before that hate campaign started EP would have been the winner easily. And all of u know that and should accept that lots of people like the movie. Imo both movies are masterpieces. It is so sad that people are not able to accept that it is possible to praise both films. All of u are forgetting that cinema should bring people together and not divide them.
