Been watching you for a while. I have symptoms as you described. No running nose. But pressure and pain in forehead and eyes and Ive had it 60 days. Ive been breaking out in rashes that come then they go. Also it feels like bugs crawling under skin at times. Itching and tingling in feet lately at little in hands that comes and goes. Cat scan checked out the ENT doctor yesterday said my sinuses look great no obstruction or anything. Im taking Flonase but this is chronic. I am waiting see an allergist. Constant post Nasal drip in back of throat. I eat well. It all started with vertigo 4 weeks ago. I am just not getting the answers I need. Thanks for listening.

First is to figure out what you are allergic to. Then the next step is avoidance. Remember that you might not be allergic to your pet but if you are allergic to what is outside, and you let the dog out to go potty, the pollens stick to its fur and they bring them inside to cause problems. I am a HUGE fan of salt water washes. I use them twice daily myself and have for years. Neti-pot is a low flow system....squeeze bottle is higher flow and you control how fast or slow. Oral antihistamines are NEVER as effective as a nasal allergy spray (fluticasone, rhinocort, nasacort, etc...). If you are truly suffering, then I recommend a salt water wash followed by the use of any of those nasal sprays instilling 2 sprays into EACH nostril twice daily x 1 week then switching to 2 sprays into each nostril once daily thereafter. Always use the salt water wash BEFORE the nasal spray so you don't wash the medication out of your nose. You can always add an eye drop or an oral antihistamine to this regimen, but first start with this and see how it goes.

Is the Neti-pot better than the squeeze bottle? Dr I am a Hug fan myself, But Sometimes I'm confused when to use them ..Dr whats a good time to use the Neti-pot? or which one is better.--Your right about the Dogs because I give my dog a bath once a Week because of my allergies..but I'm still having them ..thinking about just letting my Dog pee on the sidewalk haha all concrete LOL

I'm allergic to'' pollen dust mites. mostly a lot of things. I'm allergic to the cold weather when the weather changes I find that it's hard to breathe.Ever time the weather changes from Hot to cold - I change ..When it's windy outside it affects my breathing so bad I can't go outside__and I'm just challenged to find ways to feel well, it's not easy .its a daily challenge...Really finding the best Med's for me..has been up & down.Everyone is not the same, And some things that work for others don't for other people and I agree with what You said about Oral antihistamines are NEVER as effective as a nasal allergy sprays.I do like you find that salt water helps me out a lot.

Honestly, it doesn't matter which you choose....it's just a personal preference. I use the squeeze bottle. I do it twice a day.....every day. There is no reason to WAIT until you are plugged up or suffering to use the device, because it will be less effective at that point anyhow. Therefore, I recommend a scheduled approach by doing it at least once and up to twice daily. When I have a sinus infection (which is rare since I started salt water washes) I will actually increase to 3x/day when I am able. As for the dog, one thing that can also help is to buy a box of baby wipes and wipe down the dog, as best as you are able, whenever it goes and out and comes back inside. This only need be done during the seasonal pollen season. And if nothing else, I recommend keeping the bedroom a "pet-free" area.....no dog on the bed or in the bedroom. We sleep there....why have pollens in a room we spend 6-12 hours per day.
