What is HYPERIA like in the Rain? Thorpe Park update July 2024

Join us as we head to Thorpe Park for our July update, and experience front row Hyperia in the rain!
Whilst at the park we wanted to not only get on some rides, but also check out the progress on some of the limited amounts of work ongoing. This includes Detonator, which has been closed since the 30th May, and the removal of Black Mirror, which looks likely to become something for Fright Nights later in the season.
Of course we couldn't not get on some rides, and this includes Hyperia. We not only get to test Hyperia front row again, but also get to do it in the rain. How fast does it feel? Could we even open our eyes?

Detonator was also closed in the may half term im pretty sure it was a couple days before Hyperia opened it closed. But happy to see it back up and running!

Had my first on Hyperia yesterday, at the end of the day in the evening sunshine. The views from the lift hill were stunning and the ride is AWESOME. The hang time on the dive stall is INSANE, loved it loved it LOVED IT! Got the rain on The Swarm..... Ouch😂

Swarm can be a bit of a killer in the rain! Nothing beats the Hyperia views though!

I got a back row ride in the pouring rain on the 15th June and it was ridiculous! I’d say swarm and stealth are more painful in the rain but it was easily the best ride I’ve had on it (out of 13).

Once the holidays actually start they will always be much the same. All the parks do say though that Sundays are quieter than you think. Check the app everyday and make some notes on the queues (not school week this week/Mon/Tues next! It usually follows a pattern
