Anson, I've been a subscriber for some time now.... 2 years I think, maybe more. I understand and respect you're decision to change you're channel the way you feel is necessary. While I am not personally affected the way one of you're other viewers are I can appreciate the compassion and empathy you have towards you're. Fellow man, as a fellow healthcare worker (though not a first responder) it is something I can relate to. Like you I am a husband to an amazing woman, and a father to a wonderful daughter. I enjoy you're perspectives on various things. I am hopeful that you will revise, or remake, or visit" items such as you're sleeping bag, the rei tent, an update on the Fit, you're edc, the dad cache as I call you're maxpedition pocket organizer, lol. I enjoy you're fishing trips and would love to see another dad fishing with his kids. I know for me I spend most of my time untangling lines and restring fishing poles lol. Either way I look forward to it Godspeed .

I love your channel and I'm glad your are continuing to make videos. I would like to see a video with our "outside toys". Bike/boat/metal detector etc. Keep the videos coming! :)

I enjoyed many of the old videos, but I really respect what you're doing. One's good name (real or not) means something, and your choice shows a lot of character and humility. If you're taking requests I second the penmanship series.

Discovered this cryptic video when I was browsing for a G-shock review you did. I remember watching it some years ago and enjoyed it alot. Also loved your geocaching and kayaking vids. Hope whoever got offended appreciates your effort in taking all the content down. However I still wonder what the model of th G-Shock was called. Thanks for all your vids! Peace

+Debra Kennedy I DO TOO!!!! Just kidding. My best friend got me that about 15 years ago on a trip to Mexico. We've been best buds since Jr. High School, and he was there on business with another very close friend from school. They went to the beach and was sucked out by a rip-tide. By the time they realized they were in trouble it was almost too late. They BARELY made it back to safety. I assume after they dragged themselves to shore and praised still being alive they went to the local market and bought my little statue.

the beauty of an established KZbin channel is its history. Deleting 90% of it because of a nickname seems shortsided. I find new channels regularly, and look at earlier videos. It allows a connection to you as an individual. A simple explanation of the name change is all that's needed, though I understand that you, as a firefighter have a special place inside for victims of fire. Your content is great by the way...paddling, fishing, hammocking, metal detecting, reviews, etc. Shame they won't be available to the next viewer.

I'm happy if this gives you a spark and renewed interest in your channel but you did nothing wrong by choosing a name, especially one given to you by comrades as a name of your channel on the internet. Its unfortunate if this person really lost someone in a fire but the nature of youtube I would say 90% its a troll, I can't think of anyone in that position who would assign blame or shove guilt over to some random content creator because of something terrible that happened in their life,.

+rootchino I thought of the "troll" angle. Maybe, but there was enough information for some digging and I think he was for real. The more I dug, the more I didn't care if he was a troll because of the way it made me feel. I knew I had to do something regardless.
