I started out doing 14 hour fasts. That increased to 18 hour fasts. Now, I fast at least 24 hours every other day. I can go 24 hours very easily. Please give this a try. It will change your life.

I go from dinner to dinner and work out fasted. It has improved my RA by leaps and bounds in less than a month. My hair isn’t falling out in clumps anymore!

Mark I'm doing this at 18 fasting hours to 6 eating hours, plus micro workouts . Its working and I am enjoying it. I have Ms so I'm being sensible but it feels good. Thank you.

I have just discovered intermittent fasting. Unknowingly I've been doing it for 35 years. I was an electronics engineer (now retired), and about 11am my hands started shaking a little (makes handling small components hard) and I would feel peckish. I would have a snack and then be normal again. I noticed that on mornings when I didn't have time for breakfast this didn't happen. So I stopped having breakfast I asked a colleague to try this and he said it worked for him too, then he went back to having breakfast. After discovering intermittent fasting and that there would be greater benefits from eating once per day I went OMAD without any problem. I have since changed to a low carb high fat diet, I feel good and the excess weight is reducing.

Your advice has given me the confidence to do this. I know my body likes this but I have gone back and forth over the years. Also there is so much advice it can get confusing. However, you have helped me see I can work this into my lifestyle. Also I hate strict regimes. It makes me miserable because I am a very intuitive spontaneous person. I have to bring variety into my healthy lifestyle as I get bored easily. I am finding the right mix. Thank you so much!

Good interview. I'm not a fan of fasting over 24 hours. I believe muscle loss begins somewhere around then. I would say rarely fast over 24 hours and try to never fast over 48. That's when lean muscle tissue begins to be mined for protein that you are not eating.

I've been doing this sort of thing for years, most people are skeptical; often with my description of what I do ends with "it works for me " with the other party unconvinced.

I went on a daily omad fast and lost 13 kilos whilst training most days on weights in a fasted state. I now fast daily between 16-20 hours daily and keep to clean whole foods + good fats

Mark, would you consider breaking the fast by having coffee with cream after 14 hours or 16 hours from the last time you put food in your mouth? You use the term "meal" as for your first time eating, but does it mean you're "eating a meal" having coffee with cream or butter in it?

Plzz elaborate the pattern of intermittent fasting. I can not understand whether it is to fast for continuous 16 14 or 18 hours fasting and next remaining hours eating or to break them in day like 6 hours fasting then eating then gain fasting or what?

Yeah, not gonna happen. I'm glad you all have the discipline. I've never been able to go without eating.

Stephen Haskell I wouldn’t say you don’t have discipline just because you can’t fast. It’s not easy and I’m sure you’re doing a lot of things that require discipline.💪🏻
