Very eloquently explained. With relationships it is either growth or stagnation, there is no middle ground. Seeking stability invariably leads to stagnation.

I am a very typical ENFJ, and I was constantly nodding with everything Denzel was saying. He nailed our type in my opinion.

Having a partner who understands the enfjs need and purpose to help/be there for others is key. But I would add that enfjs would do well to listen to their partner if the partner is advising that a person is wanting too much from the enfj. Enfjs can be blinded by their desire to help, their skill at seeing others needs and sometimes miss cues that someone is trying to get more than advice or mentoring from them. It's a balance of being available but not too available. Sometimes an outsider (friend or partner) can see things the enfj might miss.

Love this. Yes I definitely agree.

@Tified So maybe for you it's more important to have a partner who can "handle the truth" (lol)? Or more likely, one who can listen to you run through your plans and/or be on board to work toward goals? My enfj daughter sometimes likes to run things past me, just sharpening her thinking on it.

I like Denzel's story about his ISFP wife, (two Se users) saying they see the other's effort and it's enough so its ok to back off a bit. Since Se is looking for Si responses, that's likely the source of the conflict. I'm an INTP happily married to an ENFJ and funny enough, I was the one who started going down the MBTI rabbit hole and realized it could be used to help us understand each other on a much deeper level. That really took our relationship to the next level. Highly recommend.

Hi Denzel, how does your ISFP wife engage in intellectual conversations with you?
@DeezyRYG2 жыл бұрын
Hey Maria! Honestly, it is quote easy for her. She has always been very introspective and deep. So whenever I discuss shows, philosophy, religion, etc with her, she is game and enjoys it. Sometimes she may need me to elaborate if I am being too abstract, but other than that, she is always interested. I think having the same polarity in the middle but reversed helps a lot too. We speak the same language of Ni/Se.

@Denzel Mensah I’m ISFP and my husband is ENFJ. They’re my favorite type in my opinion. Fantastic people to be in a relationship with!

@Denzel Mensah I appreciate what you said about ENFJs forming platonic relationships with other people but knowing you’re their “one”. My husband connects with many different people very easily and people seem to be very drawn to him. Sometimes it’s difficult for me to understand but he is extremely attentive to our marriage. You explained this very well and helped me understand how you guys think. Thank you!!

@@MinkaLovesPineapples I think ENFJ is my wife’s favorite too aside from ESFP 🥰 I love y’all. So much. Lol I think there’s actually a video Joyce made of why ENFJ love ISFP and I said so much about you guys in it. I’m sure you two are a lovely couple. 🤍

@@MinkaLovesPineapples and I’m so glad that I helped you understand ENFJ more!! Yeah, if my wife didn’t get this, I honestly think it would strain our relationship so much. But because she’s this secure, then if anything it makes it even MORE fun to connect with her!
