Awesome dedication by the Firefighters. I spent 35 years in the fire service and faced some harsh winter conditions, but nothing like that! However, one thing we all have in common, no matter where we are is our families are always happy and relieved when we return home safely after each shift.

As someone who works in sunny southern California, the way these guys work in the cold is fascinating. We never have to worry about pipes+hydrants freezing, frostbite, or the engines/trucks not starting due to the temperature and it's admirable how they have adapted to these challenges

A very enlightening episode. I was a Building Contractor in Southern California. The crews there complained about everything all the time. Russians never complain. They suffer in silence. They don't even dare to oppose their authorities sending troops to commit acts of aggression against a neighboring country. @@GICK117 Yeah, I'm also for working hard, but for a decent pay. I spent a year in Northern Nigeria (Kano State) and experienced painfully cold harmattan and thought that was the harshest weather ever. Like second person who got interviewed, I'm a building contractor in a so tropical country. I think that working there (Yakutsk) is so challenging in many factors. For instance, electrical conductivity will decline by decreasing of temperature, which possibly costs a big threat of welding work or any works supported by electricity. Not to mention the limitation of their sight and movement. All of them who worked there are really tough & persistent people!!

@@sandhyanagarajan Hello, I used Google to translate the two comments above you. There may be errors but I think the translation gets the point across! 1. "Yes, I have. For example, problems with pneumonia, kidney disease, heart disease. Diseases of vision. And at the expense of the fact that the locals are accustomed to the cold - this is not true. Nobody can get used to the cold. We have a hot summer + 40, a very warm autumn, we get used to the heat, and then abruptly - cold! A brutal cold winter is coming! But we remember it, therefore, we are psychologically prepared for it. Only mentally prepared, but still cold, but what to do?" 2. "I still don't understand why it gets so cold there. It’s just that it happens there that at the end of autumn it was still normal, and then it gets sharply cold. And it would be nice if the temperature there dropped to - 15, but it drops to -30 to -50 degrees. It feels like the cold from the upper layers of the atmosphere descends sharply, just at an altitude of 10 km where planes fly just the temperature is 50 degrees. Living in the south of western Siberia, there are also frosts up to -30 to -40, but this is very rare. And you have a freezer there. If you had land there with frosts at least up to -30, it would be better and easier to live."

In Southern Ontario, Canada our coldest winter temperatures are only -20C, and that feels like instant frostbite! I can't even imagine -50.

Wow so interesting! When it's below-40C here (🇨🇦) you see the ice fog effect too but not that intense! Thank you for sharing these stories 💙🥶💙

I’m from Myanmar 🇲🇲 I really love to watch all the videos of Yakutia. In our country we don’t have a snow day 😅 so I’m happy to see the snow here ❤❤❤ And also I love Arian’s family and waiting for their more videos. BTW the fire fighter’s wife looks like Kiun B I think, is she your sister???

These videos show how we are all from the same tapestry. Maybe mankind needs something (like the weather) to make them understand how much we need each other. All your videos are so enjoyable and full of insight.
