What is leverage in forex trading and what leverage should i use forex? A lot of people have asked me about forex leverage risk and forex leverage meaning so I'm going to do a video about this.
I'm also gonna explain how does leverage work in forex trading. Forex leverage is something that a lot of forex traders ignore because people won't think about it until they experience forex leverage loss.
Leveraged forex trading is a double edge sword. So you will need to understand the forex leverage risk before you use forex leverage as part of your trading.
I'm also going to share with you in detail what leverage means in forex trading when you overleverage. A lot of people also asked me what leverage is best in forex so I'm going to address thi too.
Forex leverage for beginners may seem daunting to understand but if you watch this video on leverage forex explained, you will be able to understand what is leverage in forex trading.
I want to have leverage in forex explained to you in detail so you won't experience too much of a forex leverage loss. Massive losses are part of forex leverage risk especially if you increase your forex leverage too much.
What leverage means in forex can be either profitable or destroying your forex account. However, if you manage your forex leverage risk properly and learn how does leverage work in forex trading and then use that to your advantage, you can sustain your forex business in the long run by using the right forex leverage.

The issue of leverage need not be an issue at all. You can always minuscule the risk by adjusting your lot size. I think it is wise if beginners pay a lot more attention to their lot size, making sure that they don't wreck and zero their accounts through high lots. I personally think that the higher the leverage the better, since you can as well minuscule the risk by adjusting your lot. If one can use high leverage to his advantage he might be onto something. It's a great video Karen, no doubt about it, but all I'm saying is the fundamental purpose of leverage has to hold true, and it is toy understanding that one shouldn't be bewailed by high leverage if he can adjust his risk exposure through lot adjustment. Again it's a personal perception. I'm Still a novice as compared to how much I wanna know. Kind Regards! 😊

If your lot size is taken care of it shouldn't be an issue. I'm just making assumptions in this video that the traders did not take care of their lot size. Thanks for your kind compliment !

you are correct, but also high leverage can affect the amount of opened positions you can have at the same time especially when you have some floating loss. Low leverage will give you room to breath, along with lot size calculation

Thank you for a very comprehensive explanation. I'm with a forex group and when we signed up, all newbies...they just told us to use 1:200 or 1:500. We use small lot sizes yes BUT no one explained the reason for choosing those leverages. Through my own research, I realised that lot sizes can let you control your losses regardless of leverage, but still...understanding the reasoning behind choosing a suitable leverage is so important. Rather than just telling new people use this ...FULLSTOP.

Trading with leverage seems like it will be a really big advantage and it can be, but it can hurt you as much as it can help you. Many new traders are beginning to use as much leverage and, as a rule, lead to quick losses and the failure of the account. This is a good reason for new traders to learn how to trade Forex; I studied forex, then trade with AAFX.

What leverage are you using right now? P.S. To those picky people who talk about risk per trade and saying things like leverage doesn't matter when you protect your drawdown, yeah i fuckin get that . My assumption in this video is somebody who breaks all the risk management rules and at the same time make it worse by increasing their leverage beyond acceptable levels.

Hi Karen, great video. I'm using 1:200 leverage on a mini lot account. My max risk per trade is 1%, so I calculate what the lot size should be on each trade. Is this still good risk management or should I lower my leverage? I'm trading FX daily and 4H, still figuring out to be a profitable trader.
@havefun3532
@havefun3532 6 жыл бұрын
Hi Karen! Loving the video as always. Right now I'm trading mini lot, with a 1:500 leverage, trading energies and gold. But I only allow up to 3 trades at a time and I watch that my negative balance doesn't exceed 30% of account balance. I trade the 4h and daily time frames. But if you use the proper R:R and keeping your balance from ever getting to 30% you shouldn't run into any leverage issues correct?

So if I want to trade a mini lot at 50:1, I need to put down $200.. If my trade goes down by bad by 30 pips, that means I've lost $300 right? Obviously more than the margin I put down to trade this mini lot.. So my question is.. Do I end up owing the broker $100? or $10,100? If the answer is $100, where did the $10,000 units that I messed this trade up with go? How come those $10,000 units aren't a part of the debt that I just got myself? This is my biggest confusion about leverage trading.. Please help!! @Karen Foo

@@KarenFoo i have been driving blindfolded up until i saw this video. i have been driving like this thinking the leverage was to help me win but now I realize how badly it helps me LOSE.... way faster and alot more. If I did not have as much leverage I would have been able to lose less... and still be able to work on my live account to a more winning way. I am still learning but this helps. I love that Lamborghini line. It was the best line of the video and what stuck with me. Thank you... I FOLLOW YOU NOW.

(33x3 = 99 usd, balance 1 usd is not enough money because the minimum requirement for 0.01 lot size required 3 usd) Untuk leverage 1:200 untuk Lot size 0.01, "allocation money" berubah menjadi 4 USD untuk lot size 0.01.

I lost almost all my money to brokers I did not understand, almost lost my wife and kids but thanks to Mr. Lukka Semenov who took the time to teach me about my broker, taught me his *Lukka Binomial strategy* and how they make deals to make you win all the time now I make thousands weekly. You need to enlighten yourselves search the internet right now for more information on this strategy.
