what is my sexuality

Hi everyone, here is me explaining how I came to understand my sexuality and what it means to me. Also should we 'Come Out' or should we stand up to the fact that people shouldn't assume we are straight until we announce it????

Such a powerful and amazing video, Beverly! Ugh, I love each of the points you brought up here, especially the part about coming out. I completely agree that it shouldn't be assumed people are straight unless they "decide to come out as something else"! I was cheering for you throughout this. And you gave me a shout out! You pronounced my name completely correctly 😃. Also, sometimes I take for granted that the L Word entered my life when I was in my early 20s (and was exploring my sexuality even then, of course). It really was an important and groundbreaking show. I want there to be more attractive gay women portrayed in the media with storylines that don't always have to revolve around the fact that they're gay!

+Marissa LaRocca I'm so glad I said your name right!! The l word was such an important step forward, but I agree characters need to be more than their sexuality, like in sense8! I loved that in supergirl her sister came out and fell in love but they were more than gay girls so it is starting to happen! I think coming out to many people is a big step, I just think people can sometimes feel pressured to come out when they are not safe to, and why should it be assumed people are straight until they announce it! I never came out so I guess this video was me coming out lol!

+Marissa LaRocca honestly anything l word and I'm there! I've met some of the cast including my Kate moennig she is so shy in person! I would love a series like where are they now kind of thing or a movie or anything just give me more!!!
