I really like it but I feel the classic dial is more unique and special. I just love the syringe square hands and the small round markers on the classic version.

This is my grail. Shame Blancpain doesn't make their designs simpler like this.
@masanobuyamamoto63958 ай бұрын
My thought exactly. This watch looks like a real small version of the original FF and I say this in the positive way. The modern Bathyscape still has some designs from the original but I hate the rectangle hour and minute hands have the pointy thing at the end

Blancpain is criminally underrated. This is a way more interesting watch than a Rolex or Omega diver.

What is your wrist size? It looks good on your wrist but reading it wears small.

I’m twenty years old and as good as broke. But ever since this watch released I have to have it. It’s my grail daily watch. But therefore I was wondering. Do people who buy a limited edition Hodinkee BlancPain even think about selling it? Or is this a watch that will stay with you forever?
@user-dr7tb4xf4o4 жыл бұрын
Ben A sure, you'd probably be able to find one of these for sale, but being a very limited release, expect to pay over retail. At that price point, I would much rather have one of the other limited releases (40mm) from the Blancpain Fifty fathoms line, eg the Milspec, the Barakuda or the Ocean Commitment III. Otherwise, if you're not willing to spend that much, just get the regular 38mm Bathyscaphe, which is basically the same watch; same quality and level of finishing, same movement, but in a different color (comes in black or blue), different dial layout, and with a date window.

Would like to see a 40mm version without Hodinkee on the rotor.

If only Blancpain made more true vintage style watches like this one....actually I take it back, my wallet would suffer

I agree I have a real fifty fathoms in my collection but being that the bakelite bezel is worth $25k this is a killer option that you could travel with and actually dive with which I think is cool and why I wanted to share it! I think out of all the limited editions this is special and super dope!

People want watch’s. Making limited number makes no sense at all. Making watches that only a few can own makes sense, does it?

This is an almost 1 to 1 rip-off of a microbrand called Richard LeGrand who ripped of Blancpain's case.
@temujinadonijah63652 жыл бұрын
Just two points really number one why on earth would you do a review when you're not even showing us what the Watch looks like acceptor on distant pictures you got the Watch on your wrist and you don't even do the close-up first to see what it looks like in real life so that's the first point on that respect is a rubbish review it says if you did it just to boast you've got a watch on second point is it's a disgrace to Blancpain that it took hoodinkey for them to make a watch which they should have had the initiative to make many times over in the past instead of a disgusting sapphire bezel like a pillow going around the watch with a date on so no credit Saab long time there they obviously got some very ugly ideas if it takes another firm to come along and show them how to simplify something and make it more functional... Pity about the see through case back would be perfect watch if solid... But this watch is closest to best pleasing when I look at the Tornek Rayville
