Clerics don’t choose their deity at level 3. They choose their domain. You can choose your god at character creation and select on wich aspect of your god portfolio you focus at level 3 😊

A video covering the uses of inspiration, including your advice, would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your wonderful commentaries.

Always appreciate how much meat and how little filler your videos have. Did want to say that the Ardlings are already canceled, per what Jeremy Crawford said in one of the playtest survey feedback videos. I definitely recommend watching those videos because a lot of the changes that pissed people off have already been scrapped.

They also canceled some things that we were well received like exhaustion rules and they reduced the new light weapon property to a weapon mastery. No videos explaining the thought process on that though.

"What is One D&D?" Something no one ever 'has to' play. I know I won't. :)

Thanks for those comments. I have played D & D off and on for several decades. Yes, it is possible to play D & D without giving Wizards of the Coast any money. Played some rpgs without giving money to WotC, and those were fun too.

Pretty close to a year, the first one came out on 8/18/2022.
It's a real shame dnd ended with 5th edition and nothing came out afterwords.

Great commentary. Thanks for the honest review. I get the impression that the new D&D VTT is driving the changes to Class and Race (Species, whatever). It will make it easier to railroad an adventure for a limited VTT platform. Long live the TableTop, people getting together and letting their imaginations determine the borders. Keep up the great service to the community!

Wow you really don't like the new edition. Granted it sounds like a money grab by WotC, which I sort of get I mean they need to put out content but I'd appreciate it if they made a whole new game rather than revamping the old one. The departure from 2.0 to 3.0-3.5 was a great example of this. It's to bad the gutted the druid and the Bard I'm playing a Bard currently and I've been enjoying the healing abilities but not having them baked in is one of the things I like about playing a Bard. Anyway great video my friend. Be safe have fun and take care of yourself. TTYL TTFN.

It does have a video game feel to it a la, dare I say it, 4th edition. I do like some of the Ranger and sorcerer buffs but the bard, Druid and warlock are horrible. This will definitely be a pick and choose type of thing as a dm.

You've convinced me (without meaning to do so) that One D&D is shaping up even worse than I thought. Oh, and not only do we not need WotC to play D&D, we don't need D&D to enjoy great fantasy roleplaying. Plenty of other systems out there, including older versions of D&D.

I hope One DND fails so bad.

they've messed everything up, but I bet ALIGNMENT hasn't changed (which is the single most MORONIC 1984 thing in this game) there is no good or evil, these are points of view, there are allies and adversaries, and all of this is *mutable over time* and *THAT* is a huge source of depth fucked up by the game since the beginning.
@michaeljpastor Жыл бұрын
They've been moving away from alignment in leaps and bounds in recent years, so your comment is unwarranted. Just look at the way that spells and magic items have changed. The paladin is completely divorced from it. And alignment is a lot older than 84.

Definitely concerned. I'm still pissed they are trying to kill warlocks. Druids are being completely destroyed for their identity as their versatility has always been part of their beauty. It feels like they are trying to cookie cutter everything. Like you I understand the reasoning but to me its stifling creativity and pushing people into roles they may not actually want. I also am one that actually despises virtual tabletop. That being said the pandemic did help bring people together and finding our love of collaborative storytelling. So I understand online play is good bringing people together that maybe long distance. But this is about fun, stories, and just having a good time with friends. I love showing up to my game table with food and drinks for everyone. Kill the big bad? Ok break out a cigar for everyone and lets share a drink at our glory. I'm sorry but no amount of online play will ever trump my joy in surprising my friends with new dice, food, toys, figures, and of course our shared dread for when the cat jumps on the table killing everyone. ❤ love your work and your dice. So happy you guys keep fighting the good fight.
