Serious question. If you're the only Feral Druid in a 40 man raid, does the personal DPS increase from power shifting offset the 40man DPS loss from losing Leader of the Pack while not in one of your forms? Essentially if you power shift 6 times per minute, that's 9s lost on the Leader of the Pack buff, so a 15% downtime. It'll only go lower the more you powershift. How much would that actually impact power shifting?

You powershift so fast that the loss of LOTP is not noticeable, you can see it in my raid vod from here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/g2eYd2qcfNloiqs - You instantly get the buff back and since you ideally use a powershift macro it doesn't really put you into human form. This is not something you have to be concerned about! You can see here, from monkeynews buffs, that it comes back really fast. : sod.warcraftlogs.com/reports/jxAV1d6PwKbmNtTJ#fight=30&type=auras&source=31 LOTP should still be party wide, so size doesn't matter, unless something changed with P4.

For power shifting are you you doing the following: Cat > human > Cat Or is there a faster/ more effective way to do this? I find waiting on the global CDs makes this difficult.

I use a macro /cast !cat form - that way you can't get stuck in caster form if you run out of mana for example. and when you do it properly with GCD it's instant, you never see caster form!

What if i would go for 5x hear of the wild instead and increase strength by 20% and also get omen of clarity, think its big differnce?

6 ps = 6 extra mango is so wrong as it's nearly impossible to get 40 "extra" energy by power shift. 4 or 4.5 is a better number. the idea is same. that's why wolfshead is so insane as it's extra 20 energy, can could do mangle shred shred in 6s rotation. As Blizzard confirmed no wolfshead in phase 2, I am even wondering 0/31 will do almost same as ( or just little less than) 26/5 but benefit the team and ez switch to tank.

You always get 40 energy on power shift, every power shift, assuming you don't use a finishing move is a mangle. The powershifting is going to be highest personal DPS gain. Always. But if group needs lotp, they do.

He is not saying that powershift is not 40 energy, but that is not 40 additional energy, since it wipes existing energy. So it's not just increasing your energy by 40 every shift. But it does give you twice the amount of energy in a 4 second cycle.

Going to be fun twisting power shifting with the new Tiger's Fury in phase 2.

If Tiger's Fury stays the same it falls off when you powershift, so you have to shift after the duration is done, and we just have to hope berserk stays like in wotlk!
