I used to have troubles going around the block. But I now had confidence in going. No issues during the time.

Some times I have constipation because of the medication I have to take on a daily basis, niefdipine is one medication i take that ive narrow down that has to be causing the problem.. Broth this concern to my Doctor and he said keep taking a LAXATIVE!! Can you believe it 😡😡😡😡😡

I just started using Psyllium husk powder a generic brand of metamucil. My fasting this morning was at 116. So I drank a glass of this fiber around noon today,, then had a low carb meal of eggs and broccoli. Two hours later did a BS test and result was 91 . This was very good for me as I had not been getting readings below 100 of late.

I have been taking psyllium husks for over 10 years DAILY. The benefits are so many and diverse. It helps me to control long years of hemorrhoids effectively. I use the store brand from Sprouts grocery store. I like the effects of keeping me regular. As a side note, I need to use less toilet paper when taking psyllium. It seems to keep things cleaner.

I’ve been taking psyllium since 2018. I’m 31 now. My dad had really bad case of diverticulitis where all those little pockets in his intestines ruptured causing internal bleeding. Fortunately, the surgeons operated on him and were able to dissect the segment that was heavily damaged. Ever since then, I started taking (Metamucil)psyllium fiber and has been the best decision. Especially when making a BM, because I’m sure no one likes to poop hard stools out 😂

Pysllium husk ive used for 6 years now so good for the body . Skin and hair . Ladles who are going through the menopsuse Pysllium husk removes access estrogen (if you have estrogen dominance) it also helps control hunger . I use 2 teaspoons in a large glass of water once before lunch and dinner . (I drink it then eat 30 mins later ) but all throughout the day water is very important taking this if you dont then it wont work like its suppossed to .

I’m on a low carb diet and my glucose is 150 this morning so I am fasting. I wanted to know if I should take vitamins with psyllium husks? I wanted to know several things because of my whacky blood sugar. So here I am. I stopped taking my meds that the doctor prescribed because he cannot answer one question : If my insulin level is five and it’s supposed to be two or three, how is forcing my body to make more insulin helpful? (It can’t be!!) Nevertheless, I am no fool and I need to get my glucose down as well as my insulin resistance so I will be taking fiber. I only recently found out it might help. I had it in my cabinet for a long time. I don’t like to use Metamucil because it has other things in it, but I have been sporadic, so, hopefully, consistency is the key.

@@Raut-warriorI am from india too. When you have doubt that you may constipate, you should take one tablespoon of isabgol in normal or lukewarm water at night. Continue for few days till you feel light in stomach. After a week, again take it once. Then repeat once a week to maintain cleanliness. Or if you are planning to take it regularly then one teaspoon before meal would be sufficient. Dont make it regular habit or else it wont work without it.

Dont consume it regularly. Just use it as dietary fiber supplement. Also avoid refined foodgrains such as all purpose flour etc which have low fiber content. Nothing to worry, its just a kind of natural sourced food which doesnt get digested but helps in digestion and elimination of waste.

Fine powder option is best with food in sauce, soup, porridge, omelette etc. Regular husks are more detoxing and best with just water on an empty stomach.

In my experience one year a go, i had one box of psylium husk from market i had palpitations at night time so i stopped using it, my son started to use it from (Now) i heb had same symptoms he had a palpitations in sleeping so he stopped it. I use species nutrition fiber supplement. I wanted to see if it will help my total cholesterol and LDL. I like to take it at night. I put it in the fridge and it becomes a jello like snack that fills me up so I stay in calorie range. Works great for giant poops too 😂

You are consuming lot of protein and fiber and not taking enough healthy fats. If no lubrication in intestine then you might get fissure soon. See a doctor if things dont work out soon.

@@fiolet94 Its better to consult a dietician to sort out things which you have no clue. Otherwise things would go out of hands. Farting is natural thing if it happens few times a day but in excess indicates problem in liver function. Get comprehensive medical tests done once a year to make sure you are doing well. Tests done in a package is much cheaper than individual ones.
