Tnks for explaining this. i had been very confusing on this topic. now i'm very much clear. Very good explanation. Also had some doubt on a different use case. Should I use pull up and pull down resistor if a General-I/O pin is going to receive 0's and 1's continuously from external source ? If I should use, which one I should use, pull up or pull down ? Please clarify my doubt.
@ElectronicsForUs5 жыл бұрын
Any of one should be connected. The choice of configuration is based on what should be the default value need for your coding. If you need 0 then pull down or if it is 1 pull up.

Pull up resistor mens when driver getting slow signal that time this pull up resistor used to manage. Pull down reverse.correct. please suggest me my sir learn me

so we should use this pull up and pull down concept whenever we connect some sensors or any external input to the microcontroller? please tell me anna.
@ElectronicsForUs5 жыл бұрын
Pull up.means, you are pulling up the voltage level. So you have to connect to vcc. Pull down is the opposite. You are pulling down the voltage level by connecting the pin to ground.

Pull up means I/O is connect to vcc with resister Pull down means I/O is connect to ground with resister

Getting confusion on this Now ckt in series So vdd voltage differed while voltage coming into controller So the controllergets only 2.5v So by logic 2.5v is not considered ashigh

Ggg pull up use Pani pana if any press switch it take low resistance kkk so as 0 bt. It connected the pull down already. It having low resistance path then how it will be take high value if any press switch

is the pullup resistor connect with the reset pin in controlle ( pic16f877a ),why.??
@ElectronicsForUs5 жыл бұрын
Same reason. If you touch that pin with ground it will be a hardware reset. By default that pin will be high due to pull up.
