Yeah this is a terrible video and it's pointless to watch because you can't even hear half of what he's saying.

I was not able to hear the explanation over the sound effects. Guess I will never know what regenerate does....

0:58 Putting multiple regeneration effects on a creature serves a purpose as they do stack. Since regeneration is a replacement effect, if you have multiple instances of it on a creature, you can choose which effect to apply and since the creature would have regenerated from the first effect, the second one is still waiting for another instance of destruction or death to occur. 614.8. Regeneration is a destruction-replacement effect. The word “instead” doesn’t appear on the card but is implicit in the definition of regeneration. “Regenerate [permanent]” means “The next time [permanent] would be destroyed this turn, instead remove all damage marked on it and its controller taps it. If it’s an attacking or blocking creature, remove it from combat.” Abilities that trigger from damage being dealt still trigger even if the permanent regenerates. See rule 701.15. 419.9a If two or more replacement or prevention effects are attempting to modify the way an event affects an object or player, the affected object’s controller (or its owner if it has no controller) or the affected player chooses one to apply. Then the other effect applies if it is still appropriate. If one or more of the applicable replacement effects is a self-replacement effect (see rule 419.6d), that effect is applied before any other replacement effects. If two or more players have to make these choices at the same time, choices are made in APNAP order (see rule 103.4).

Thanks for the information... but is there anything you can do about the sound effects? They're kinda loud, and makes it hard to hear what you're saying sometimes... 😅

None of the replacements for Regenerate manage to capture its flavor, it's a damn shame both in terms of terminology and function

Didn't hear half of what you said because of the sound effects

Does regenerate also work against "target creature gets -X/-X"? And it probably does not work against "exile" or "sacrifice" right?

Let's say, if a 5/5 a creature with trample was blocked by a 3/3 that regenerates, how much damage goes through? Does the 'remove of combat' mean that it isn't assigned any damage and that 5 damage will trample over?
@CardKingdomMTG10 ай бұрын
The 3 damage is still assigned to the regenerating creature (otherwise it wouldn't die and, y'know, regenerate). So only 2 tramples through.

Does a creature with regenerate die when sacrificed?

How it works with „creature lose all ability”? If player activated regeneration and then „lose ability” effect was applied. Does the creature lose the regeneration and die from next damage?
@sanddagger368 ай бұрын
so if it only removes damage, does it not save a creature from -x/-x abilities/spells?

This would be a good video if it didn't have the stupid laser noise messing it up. How am I supposed to hear what you're explaining when you keep putting it in there? 👎👎
