If you've ever moved places and stand in a completely empty room you can tell instantly the difference. Or going for a walk and passing under a small bridge made for trains. I always like to softly hum an "om" while walking under there because of this effect. Just imagine how powerful an om would sound in a temple build for just that purpose like in buddhist and hindu cultures. It truly is mesmerizing how once own voice can have an impact in a surrounding. I f*cking love reverb if used in a right manner.

So if I understand correctly... When referring to your voice: It is the affect your environment has on how your voice sounds. Your voice sounds different in a open environment (like a park) compared to a bathroom. That's what I think it is.

So it’s basically echo? Edit: Nevermind, after I turned my microphone on, and listened to it, I realised it’s not the same as echo. Echo is like a domino sound, reverb is literally just the open sound of the surroundings after the sound has been made.

Reverb: reverb is the interaction of soundwaves with physical surfaces that results in sounds heard in the space after the source has stopped sounding (for those of who you nearly had a seizure trying to keep up)
