Best thing any INFJ can do: figure out your boundaries. Because then you will know what is a waste of time and what isn’t.

They are one of the best things to do as an INFJ, yes; Yet it's also important to know how you'll handle and react to the moments that you find to yourself in a situation that you have those boundaries in that have been crossed.

@@abdiqanihashi484I found this out through Fi mainly. I had to go basically into my shadow functions, he to know myself, what I value enough to know what I will care about enough to know when I will not tolerate something much longer or at all. If I don't know myself and what I value enough, I can find myself sacrificing far too much and wasting my time and resources on people who are just taking advantage of them whether or not I care about them or I'm just simply being nice. Some will greatly try to take advantage of me because I am often generous and highly sacrificial, but through Fi in my shadow functions, I recognized when I will just be wasting what I have and could've used it for someone else who wouldn't let it waste away or just take advantage of me, and rather know how much I'm willing to sacrifice for certain people for the right reasons that will make good use of it rather than just sacrificing and they consume it for their own benefit to feel better and not make any use of it, just ending up asking or wanting more from me.

I’m surprised you didn’t mention how the past is so depressing for injs, that’s probably the worst thing about si demon for me. I lived an unbelievably great childhood yet it’s so depressing to recall any childhood memory so I typically don’t do it. Not to mention how spotty it is and how little i actually remember. But what I do remember is depressing af no matter how happy the memory. At least I have an infp and isfj brother

Very true. For example, I (INFJ) often wake up with a random flash back to a previous event in my life where I lost out. I attribute that to my "si demon." The trick is to find the good within this Si function rather than simply putting up with the negative that it forces upon us. I believe that the Si demon is meant to protect us and lead us away from future harm (Ni hero shining through here).

Eventually, when an INFJ matures, it will let go of past loves and failures. As far as body count, it doesn't matter. What matters is that INFJ with baggage makes an infj type of commitment to heal their wounds, be self aware, and hold space for their wounds and how they can affect relationships if not healed. Typology isn't enough to fix wounds. Typology is knowing and knowing doesn't heal, feeling feeling heals, so infjs must learn to integrate their shadow functions.

I think bodily awareness comes after learning the Si Demon lesson that you ain't gonna be a top performer if you dont provide yourself with enough comfort to perform that task. Assuming that there's no typing error, it's likely that whatever environment/life circumstances those INFJs were in likely pushes them to develop the Subconscious. I'm UD|SF INFJ myself and during my UC focused days I was clumsy as fuck. As to how to actually develop that awareness, for me it's been through failure and figuring out why and how SPs succeeded in said task where I failed. Ex: 1. Can't drive a car well if you don't take good ergonomics and living in the moment into account 2. Can't paint well if posture isn't good 3. Can't play a sport well when you're not in the right clothes/equipment 4. Can't gym well and stress the right muscles if you don't get the posture right 5. Can't jog/cycle far if you're wasting energy doing it wrong My advice to fellow Ni heroes, just find some SPs, preferably the same type as your Subconscious and be friends with them, have shared experience with them. Get outta your head and into the moment and watch what the SPs do and ask them why. Oh and if any of you guys are INFJs that are Unconscious Focused, check out Awaken Insight YT channel (UD|SF INFJ) Subconscious Focused, check out Captain Sinbad YT channel (??|SF INFJ) Fi critic approves of his name- Captain, sin bad

As an INTJ I can relate to the burden part So that extreme lack of bodily awareness Si demon, shows its self through Ni Hero In practice, in my experience it seems like Ni decides to accomplish (X) does whatever necessary Overexerts physical body without realizing it I initially thought that it was FORCE OF WILL moving me forward but it's also the fact that I don't really care about my physical body, it becomes just a vessel to accomplish (X) and accomplishing (X) is more important than self preservation But one could also look at EFFORT as LIFE FORCE. The Si could present not as lack of self preservation but as USE OF LIFE FORCE. So Si Demon normally presents as lack of bodily awareness and/or lack of self preservation But Si Demon presents through Ni Hero as Use of Life Force. Do I have this right? But Si Demon whether in a positive or negative light eats away at the life span But the Burn rate would correlate to difficulty of (X) what Ni Hero decides. I apologize for extra long comment

Good lecture. I do this now for sure. Also, quick take on body awareness. There is a difference between body awareness (Si) and spatial awareness (Se). An example of each for me is, lack of Si would be, someone asks me if Im hungry and want to eat. I say no only to realize that i am hungry and just realized I havent eaten all day. Sleep also is an issue and getting bit by a bug, swelling up and wondering when I got bit lol Spatial awareness though is easy as SD/SF if Im saying that correctly. But that basically looks like being an athlete. I can basically just pick up sports quickly and/or mirror movements easily. It feels smooth.

This Si has been the problem in my relationship. I’m ENFP and my partner is an infj. We both have gone through some childhood trauma so there is some imbalance. Her Si Demon gave me all the attention is the start. I have adhd and being forgetful or distracted and not giving her attention back hurt her. She door slammed me, but now, me trying to fix it all and make it better has been tough bc the door slam isn’t letting my EFFORT be seen and I work hard to do what needs to be done to be fixed. And of course I feel invisible and not helped and doing this alone instead of together. Meaning fixing this issue.

Thank you again for this video Chase. As an INFJ male who’s almost 30 and has suffered from existential depression for well over 10+ years, this helped put a lot of my darkest parts of myself into context. Especially the loneliness, the self-directed-nihilism, feeling like a constant failure no matter my achievements, my bad attachment investments, hatred for the past, anxiousness for the future (Ne) because I haven’t met major milestones yet that so many of my friends from high school already have and feeling like if I don’t act now to seriously change, my intense deeply-held desire to “change the world the better” many never end up coming to fruition, and I don’t think I could live with myself anymore if I at least didn’t make the EFFORT…to try and put in that EFFORT to do so, instead of the typical INJ “just gonna will myself through another life obstacle” with as minimal amount of effort possible. Just fantastic INJ content. Thank you again. Don’t know if you ever considered reaching out to Joyce Meng from TypeTalks (also INFJ) but she has a sizable typology audience/community/following and has spoken with some big community members too. Logically, having her invest into this typology system could be Proto-Revolutionary for the MBTI community as a whole in the long run of things. 26:38 As an INFJ, I can confirm the importance of the "Si Demon Test." There are several times where I have been attached to emotional vampires (takers) that I end up feeling used, abused, and discarded. Note that some relationships change over time, therefore, please also realize that some relationships are around for a time rather for a lifetime. I would also recommend explicit communication with the "other" in your life because INFJ's are well known for not communicating their needs (at least when they are not well developed).

As an infj soccer player I’ve always been faster than everyone and it’s always felt easy. It almost feels like there’s no limit to how fast I can run, it’s just a gear that no one else has, so this makes sense. Also funny that I pull hammys and groins more often than most people. I see it in Michael jordan, his jumping ability seemed physically impossible and inhuman
@mrod8578
@mrod8578 Жыл бұрын
Well sure but there is also genetics aside from personality. Infjs aren't always great athletes or can run fast. I mean if you have genetics for speed like one or both of your parents were fast, chances are more likely you'll be fast yourself. For example my dad is a 6ft8 ENTJ big and strong former football player up through university as well as being a 3 sport athlete. Due to him being tall and strong I also became tall and strong (with some training obviously). My personality had not all that much to do with my height or strength as an INTP myself. In fact while I think many INTPs might get into martial arts or something later in life many are known to be nerds who are not initially interested in athletics unless pushed. So as you can see other factors are involved where personality might not be correlational at all and you just won the genetic lottery (such as being a good sprinter).

I believe I’ve observed a pattern that people with obsessive compulsive disorder are often INXJs (from watching some reports and interviews). The defining symptoms of OCD, such as repeatedly performing certain rituals, hand washing, cleaning, fear of germs, having to check things repeatedly, seem to be clearly attached to Si. The sort of behavior is very detail focused and these people say they feel obligated to it. And since it is rather inadequate and destructive to their lives, it would make sense to me if it were attached to the demon function, and that other types wouldn’t really have the capacity to develop this disorder. Also, some of these people report having thoughts about something bad happening in the future or to people close to them if they don’t perform a specific routine, which sounds a lot like Ne nemesis to me. However, I believe that the diagnosis of OCD is given to other types as well, like ENXPs who also care about routines but in a different way, so it might look similar on the outside. Also, I’ve seen an ISTJ woman with an OCD diagnosis, which was more about intrusive thoughts about bad things that might happen and not really repeated compulsive behaviors. Anyways, I could be very off here. My ability to type people on videos is very poor and I probably have selectively taken in information, so see this more as a speculative hypothesis. Also, I don’t know if it is even possible for demon functions to manifest in this form, being activated continually. But do you generally think it is possible to assign some psychiatric disorders to certain personality types? I feel like this would be very interesting to explore deeper, as it could be a clear way to observe cognitive functions and also maybe help bridge the gap between this psychology and some more academically accepted concepts.
@lxdm26

that is a very good point. without a doubt there are a lot of people diagnosed mentally ill merely because of their psychology diverting from the norm. I can see that being the case with intuitives. the link between typology and pschological desease is definitely fascinating.

Thank you Chase! I agree with the part where you said its more of an attachment thing then a loyality thing, i think its because not getting appreciation back very likely pushes us into the unconscious due to idolatry, (UD/SF Infj here) because we mistake our attachment with genuine attraction (which is where loyality would come in) could it be that the test of the demon is key to switch the cognitive focus? like from UF to SF..it seems like that its not only a very nice to have, it helps way more zo actually concentrate on the living virtue of humility if i know that the effort is appreciated (at least by myself) with regard to Si-not feeling the body kind of argument..i really resonate with it, i think though this is where Se aspiration kicks in, i see it in my sport-activities as to ENPs-women not giving tribute to mens Si-demon..i largely blame western culture for that.. but its a shame in general because i think a lot of it is miscommunication, ENPs dont know what they want (Ni nemesis), Si demon takes it personally. However, i found that ENTPs are way more grateful and empathetic and i think its because of Fe child knowing how Fi critic feels, plus they are pragmatic and dont care so much about self image and te-status, i think ENFPs really feel physical pain when recognizing Si demons effort properly, like as if they would sacrifice a piece of their self worth, at least it seems such a big deal for them to do so, but i dont know the reasons..but unfortunately doorslam seems the only option
@lxdm26

UD INTJ here - the mistaken attachment for attraction part definitely rings true. also the miscommunication is a good point! highest compatability means lots of physical communication without as much emphasis on the verbal in my experience.. the test of the Demon for me has been the key to solve attachment and be open to look around and desire others - a SF approach so you might be onto something! ENP women can be brutal to Si demon, only valuing attention and effort when they feel comfortable. an ENTP woman in my past had a tendency to be quite arrogant, taking no responsibility for her actions. making up moral rationalizations on the fly as it suited her. echo-chamber friend circle, paranoid about finding "her way" and being a strong independent woman without accountability, sharing her attention and body with others rather freely and being "proud" of it. abusing my Si demon and accelerating its self-destructive tendencies in the process. I believe Si demon wishes to be abused and punished when neglected. and when coupled with a wrathful Se demon.. yikes and yuck. thank you for sharing!

@@lxdm26 Thanks for sharing too! I think golden pairs come with a lot of suffering, and having Si demon makes it even more so. ESFP superego of an ENTP while one is attached to her, I can even feel it while typing it Si-demon test is definetly a valuable resource to take the power back. I speculate that in your case it was particularly diffucult, because of her cognitive focus of reverence. you know with ENPs I never know how much awareness their demon, or the demon in general has. Because its so low down there in the function stack, I think they don't have control over it. With ENTPs Fi in the Trickster-Position and Ti-in the parent, they might know it with Ti, but don't care with Fi, because of no moral standard. I don't know if that makes it worse or better, but definitely I think this Fi-I don't care traps them longer in the super-ego as necessary, especially if society provides them with reverence, as you said above. From Si-demons point view, it doesn't make any difference. Its a shame for INJs in general. The thing about the test of demon is that one has to say no to a lot of joy that golden pair relationships can offer. but better a less joyful life, than having si-demon against oneself, it is a black hole
@sandrohaller2634
@sandrohaller2634 Жыл бұрын
@@lxdm26 i have another idea regarding Si-demon, Si- for us INJ is effort, we really struggle putting effort into something, because we love following our Ni-interest; if we put effort into somebody else, especially a love interest, it hurts of course if it is not reciprocated. But reciprocation is not necessary for us to actually the effort being worth it, the other person may not be worth it, but the effort in itself is maybe not. I think what we struggle with a lot is the realization that we can actually put so much effort into something like a relationship, and drain ourselves so much, so much so that one is completely vulnerable. Which can be misused by selfish ENPs of course. so the test of the Si-demon is actually for Ni, not for the other person necessarily. If Ni can overcome its impulse to take shortcuts, to become prideful, to not want too much of oneself, then the effort is worth it, and Si-demon does not wanna fight with the Ni. The question now is I think, is joy a short-cut of some sort..it is at least a question that can be answered only by oneself, joy can definitely be a distraction

@@sandrohaller2634 Hello again Sandro, You're spot on. She wanted reverence and respect for her independence and all I sensed was disgust. (not to mention Se inferior getting nuked but that's easier on me) I blame western society, feminism and my own weakness, not her poor, entitled, traumatized soul. I can't bring myself to feel any animosity towards her. I can see a lot of pain in her future which is what actually hurts the most but I digress. Having bashed and criticized her on here it's only fair to give full perspective. The way forward has been taking responsibility for my behaviour for it was I that enabled her demon instead of confronting it: not correcting her blatant lies and transgressions, not upholding boundaries. In my experience, Si in its demonic prowess is full of covert contracts, enduring abuse, trading dignity for the sake of comfort, pleasure and control. I could've walked out on multiple occasions for good reason and made her beg for my attention until I felt desired, appreciated and respected enough. No, I CHOSE to stay to indulge in the sensations, making the faustian deal with the devil as chase says about the super-ego. nothing but weakness, manipulation and sheer cowardice on my end. In a way I deserved to suffer, for disrespecting and neglecting my needs and dignity. I take full responsibility for my pain. very valuable lesson learned - thank you Se & Si demons, I got the memo. I won't allow this to ever happen again. True humility is the way (eternal thanks to Chase for making this so clear to me) Remembering a very rewarding long-term relationship I've had with a gorgeous inside-out, humble ISFJ gives me hope for the future. I'll gladly keep that wonderful attachment forever for contrast's sake. I guess I've really been on both opposites of the luck spectrum when it comes to romantic relationships, I really shouldn't complain! thank you for taking the time and for the empathy, Sandro! This has been really helpful. - Alex This video in particular is a godsend and I'll definitely check out the other CSJ Si demon work Chase mentioned in the vid

@@sandrohaller2634 Your first point reminds me of something Chase mentioned in a past video about Si demon. He was talking about how INJs can be so paranoid about outcomes [Ne nemesis] they get stuck never taking any risk. Like a immature ISJ we would be afraid of outcomes which would be the reason to indulge in comfort and security. The opposite of what Ni hero is supposed to be, the most risk-taking out of all types that is. Reciprocation as a requirement for effort is nothing but an attempt to control the outcome - a Si covert contract. You saying the reciprocation shouldn't be required to make effort worth it makes total sense and ties in perfectly. maybe I'm misinterpreting your point but I find it interesting to think about. About the struggle to realize the draining of oneself, putting effort into something/someone to the point of being vulnerable.. You're spot on, I had't thought about it in that way yet! Si demon Test for Ni, not necessarily the other person... hm I've marinated a bit over this. so you're saying if Ni hero's humble, overcomes impulses, chooses the right path with no shortcuts, then Si would have no problems with giving the effort and sacrifice regardless of the outcome (reciprocation). Am I understanding what you mean? that's a beautiful way to look at it and makes total sense. Only now I've realized this was all one coherent idea and not several different points lol I feel stupid. That is a very good question. Maybe the Superego sees joy as a shortcut when not involved properly?

Effort is a hard thing to pin down, would you do anything if the thought of it caused unpleasant feelings, and on top of that, you have random memories that pop up whose purpose is to remind you that you failed at doing this or something similar to this, and the feeling you had during that time is also amplified in anxiety and moral failure on your part? I'm just trying to say that failures are a big deal in this situation, and the more you acknowledge you have had, the faster you spiral downward. It's really hard to get out of that

Fanatacism is it's own thing. An entp/isfj develops either fanaticism or malevolence. Chase developed much more malevolence, so he's missing a piece of himself in fanaticism.

Well being UDUF makes your primary origin reverence actually. So that's why when you are UDUF entp you are malevolent, which is quite similar to the egoist way of attaining reverence.

Eventually, the masculine must show nobility thru humility by subordinating its time and attention to the feminine. It sounds like similar to how si effort in nj is valuable bc it’s inferior, for an entp to subordinate their own inferior Si to honor the inner sensations of the feminine is the highest possible sacrifice. I don’t know, but Joseph’s divorce to railgun May have been, at least in part, to Joseph’s inability to put the feminine on a pedestal, like God (masc) did for creation (feminine, receptive, temperamental Si)by dying on cross. That is the proper polarity between masc and femme, bc when Si is satisfied, the feminine emerges as a loyal servant to the masculine, respecting his direction and leadership, and the dialectic progresses. My dear pedagogue Joseph is this at a cross roads in his masculine journey, and I pray he finds his ideal woman to make that ultimate voluntary sacrifice for of subordinating the feminine aspect of his temperament to her, with the Ni vision of ultimately serving the masculine

That is how he will attain the deep worship of the feminine and respect from the ideal feminine that he confesses he craves in this video (and that is actually a masculine desire- think God wants worship. So, honor the feminine in all humility and she will repay you tenfold and beyond, as a capable wife properly nourished by the masculine FIRST.

The masculine is the spirit which initiates the creative process. “Humility comes before honor” (proverbs). Thus, masculine must go first in proposing to honor the feminine (why men get on bended knee) to receive the honor or what CSJ calls “fangirling” the masculine craves at a guttural level

I've concluded Socionics's definition of Si as intaking sensation from the outer encironment is CORRECT. Whereas mbti made this process into Se and got it wrong. In Socionics Si sucks in sensation from the outer sensory world and then pumps out Ne options, patterns, etc. Whereas Mbti thinks Ne is on an axis with an Si that favors mauling over the past. Yet as an INTP in mbti and LII in Socionics I have found my Ne grows the fastest by using Si as defined by Socionics to suck in sensation from the outer sensory environment. And have had fun joining my mbti ESFP and Socionics ESE "Bonvivant" Dual on the quest of sucking in lots of sensory experiences (Si.) I hold that all mbti perceiving types actially favor the Socionics definition of Si (S) as intaking (sucking inwards) sensation. I also hold all mbti J types favor Se (F) as defined by Socionics as trying to put Ti/Fi order on the outer physical environment.

Another example, Si Good is for? It’s great for storing nasty behavior suffered from others that hurts the INTJ. The next time an INTJ come across it again, the INTJ should learns to painfully discipline/challenge the behavior until the behavior stops, or fight back unto scaring the opponent also, OR, the INTJ can shut off everything about you/status and affection (until passerby status or ghost) even to fatality. Si holds the the conditions of the situation, and if/when used properly, returns the favor no matter the length of the relationship. It is the “experience of association” as the trigger that gives license to “do as you please where you may find pleasure”. It the way of the world. INTJ’s Can’t be to Careful, they are mean at the least, to the point of thoughtlessness & care. Si is also used for good,but that’s called, triggered to show appreciation or building to value over wickedness. How many people deserves that?🥸
