I think this is a great overview of how social innovation works. I took a course in it earlier this year, and want to use it well, but defining it to others quickly and easily has been difficult. I'll recommend they watch this video to find out a bit more. Thank you!

Great video on social innovation. I want to 'change the world' or at least add significant value. I am deciding to take a step back from building and to enrol onto a hands-on MBA (Hult Business School) with an elective in social innovation. I believe I need to build a solid foundation in business before jumping into the deep end, again. I then have the idea to take part in a program like the MIT Innovation Leadership Bootcamp to get an even more hands on exp and learn. Once I feel competent enough to build a real world product/service I believe a program like Entrepreneur First will help me get the foot in and access funding. I know you're not an advisor but what are your thoughts? I am just tired of making the same mistake of trying to build without foundation.

Thanks for your comment! I think it's awesome you want to invest in learning and training yourself - such an important step many skip! When you find an issue you want to disrupt / impact, my best advice is to take the time to talk to the stakeholders and leaders tackling that issue to get their insights on what's working and what isn't - what are the gaps? Where are there opportunities? Etc.

Unsure what you mean - can you clarify? You mean websites that generate ad revenue (like blogs, youtube, etc.?)? Companies that round up payments into donations for causes, etc.? (Those exist)

Thanks for letting sleeping dogs lie...I think we should teach the the “golden rule” in school. Create fair trade, with fair weights and measures.(money). Create communities of inclusiveness. Like what you do....best....best for your future, and everyones.
