The best career advice that I learned is don’t ever attach your-self to a PERSON, a place, a company, an organization or a project. Only Attach your-self to your mission in life and your PURPOSE. That’s how you keep your power and keep your peace!

Very sad state of affairs and this is actually planned this way. Communists don't want us comfortable in family tribes all together or even working tribes. Together we are powerful. Isolated we fall victim.

This sounds so much like what we studied in organizational industrial psychology. Thank you for explaining it in an easy way. So relatable and makes me more aware of my shortcomings.

I wanted to take a moment to show love to this channel. I'm teaching social psychology for the first time right now, and this channel is a great source of both reviewing the overview of topics (so I don't get too bogged down in complicated findings) and also of engaging videos when I want to give my students a break from hearing my voice. At the end of the semester, I plan to go back and watch this whole playlist just to make sure my knowledge of the basics isn't rusty.

One of the key strategies to reduce the potential for social loafing is to create smaller groups or teams. Make it easier for team members' work to be seen and supported. Smaller groups also enable individuals to form relationships and build a cohesive unit - all attributes that encourage individuals to contribute.

based on google we can avoid social loafing by: *Create clear assignments. ... *Divide into subgroups. ... *Increase supervision. ... *Provide individual recognition. ... *Make tasks cooperative.

Great vid. People like me tend to overwork and others know that in the end I'll be doing the work so take everything easy. This sucks. I'm trying to change this.

When everyone does not put in their full amount of effort because they are part of a group, this can lead to reduced productivity. Factors influencing social loafing include expectations of co-worker performance, task meaningfulness, and culture

Social loafing is more evident in tasks where the contribution of each group member is combined into a group outcome, making it difficult to identify the contribution of a single person.

I always hated group projects. But, if the elements you mentioned at the end had been present, I can see I would’ve had a completely different attitude.

Very insightful video! One doubt- Although it is most preferable to have a bottom-up approach. This approach can definitely work when it is a team/ group of motivated individuals. However, what if it is a group of people who wait for tasks being assigned to them rather than voluntarily taking things up?

I am still very angry about the groups I had to be in while perusing my masters. Every single time, I was put with people who never pulled their weight. I ended up always doing all the work. Luckily, my professors saw what was really going on. I complained to one of my business professors and he said not to worry, that their grade was going to reflect this. As It Should!!!

This video was great but the last concept was lost to me.. the "it's best not to have a management, but if the motivation comes from the bottom up" one. Does that mean that for not having social loafing, the best idea is... That no one socially loafes and is motivated? That's convinient... Hahaha
