Sounds like they've done this for getting it legally approved to be sold and used in a majority of countries. Here in australia pressure based systems have a harder time to get approved by and engineer. Height based are fine though.

As my Employer is the TÜV Süd in Germany (Federal Inspector) and also the Fact that i have schooled my local authorities in Air Suspension, I know that the German regulation requires you to not be able to adjust the suspension during driving and you need to have an audible Signal to indicate that you aired out and overaired... to legally use a Airlift suspension, you must have a Stance Guard

The Air Lift 3P/3H System comes equipped with an accelerometer sensor that can tell when the car is moving.

Im just trying to figure out why when i air out it gets spongy. I bounce on the way down not a smooth air out at all.
