I tried going as stealth in a small group of AFAB friends (ftm), as we saw each other once, in the dark (we were watching a movie) in February, made plans to meet up again in March, and then quarantine happened, so they never got a good look at me. Anyways, periods and chests both came up eventually and I ended up outing myself making all the trans jokes (in the group chat) But yeah now there's less cis ppl than trans ppl in it so that's fun :)

Stealth is a stat in D&D which is influenced by your dexterity modifier. Sorry i just love Dungeons and Dragons jokes, but seriously thanks for the video. Ever since i figured out i'm most likely MTF you started showing up in my feed and i feel pretty lucky to have a calm person on the internet help explain all the things i need to know. The best part is the comment section, with all of the other good folk your videos attract, it is certainly a place of joy. Thanks!

I want to go stealth when I have my name legally changed. I turn 18 in a couple days and want to start therapy as soon as possible. No one is taking me seriously and I want to be perceived as a dude without people questioning anything or making fun of me anymore. I don‘t want to experience transphobia towards me or people using me as an example to generalize all trans people I have a lot of respect for people who are openly trans and have a platform. I am greatful for their informational content but I could never

I wish you the best of luck, I’ve been transitioning for roughly 5 years now (I’m 28) and I’m stealth and I can promise you it will be an incredible experience that comes with a lot of hardship and self reflection. Transphobia is unavoidable unfortunately especially for people starting their transition but you have control over your circle of support and learning how to handle toxic people in public will go a long way to achieving stealth. Also! Don’t be afraid to ask your friends for a brutally honest answer when it comes to your appearance, and this is a fact they should know as well to avoid sugar-coating their answers; it’s better to hear it from them than to be clocked on the street with nowhere to go (they’ll be more than likely inclined to tell you what they think you want to hear - “encouragement” - when you really need to hear to truth). Remember to savour every step you take; nothing lasts forever and the same goes for that high you’ll get when you start your journey, enjoy it, embrace it and most of all, love yourself for who you are because it will determine your success and who you become. Work hard, put in the effort and practice, practice, practice and I can promise you the transphobia will pass. The last bit of advice I have for you is the biggest part about being stealth is not making your trans identity your entire identity, know that there is more to you than how you identify and label yourself. Don’t become obsessed with the politics or too involved in trans issues (unless it directly affects you in your community), it will only create confusion for you and as a budding young transperson, the last thing you need is media influence trying to tell you that you’re wrong for existing. Just steer clear of it all and focus on yourself and your transition. Also, I haven’t had my name or gender legally changed yet (so when I get carded it’s usually an awkward surprise - flattering at my age tbh lol), but I chose to use my chosen name as a pseudonym for everyday use and as my preferred name on medical records that way I can keep the veil of stealth up without a nurse or myself, outing me to a group of people who may be in earshot of my birth name being used to address me. I didn’t mean to write so much Oof 😅 anywho, again I hope you the best luck! It’ll be tough at times but just pushing through and practicing and the rewards will be well worth it. Just expect that if you want stunning results, you’ve gotta deal with that much in bullsh*t or more to earn it. But you’ll be thankful you dealt with it cuz without the bullsh*t you’re not gunna pass, let alone pull off stealth. Keep your standards high but realistically achievable with respectable effort.

I've had the chance to be stealth online and did so for a while, I've long since settled onto being transitioned due to being put for over 7 years now and grew up pretty close to how I wanted to despite not medically transition until little over a year ago. And while I go through my medical transition now, it's changed how I want to be seen, instead of just another girl online I actually want to share my life as it happened and being stealth doesn't allow that. I don't mind being totally open if the topic comes around, but in public where there's the biggest dangers and I have no control over who sees me so I'll be stealth once I can and move to live with my mate. Being stealth in a place I don't have to worry just feels insincere and when I have the stuff to share that I do, it feels wrong to hide them. It's genuine and rare stuff I can speak about, and as much as I dislike it myself others might love it and relate to it. I'm not able to share any of it at all in person for fear that person may react violently and aggressively as others have in the past. Be it me being trans or whatever else. I'm unique to a point im an easy target, be it stuff I was born with, or how I've since been altered in whatever way for whatever reason. Some people may hate it and others may love it, so I will share for those who like it

Back in high-school (2000's), when I thought I was a cis male, I had this drafting and design class. There was this one girl that hung out in the classroom, and she was the perfect female. By that, I mean pretty much the entire class including myself had a mad crush on her. Me and her became close friends. The next year i saw her in the hallway and she claimed to have amnesia and that she didn't know who i was. As the year went on, she started looking less and less feminine. It wasn't until prom that i found out she was transgender the whole time. I didn't even know it was possible to be that stelthy at the time and that was just from HRT. I wish she had told me earlier though rather then at prom, because that made prom very awkward for me, but maby I needed to experience that.

I’ve thought about going stealth but with my age, history and job it’s not possible for me to do. For me I find being open about it in safe environments is very liberating and I like the fact that I can show other trans people, mostly kids, that they is a place for them in society. For those who are stealth I completely respect their decision and if I was much younger I might have gone that route. For me being open is the right decision.

I'd say I go stealth heavily because I don't want to be seen as trans, I want people to just see me as any other woman. It's also scary to be out, when I began transitioning within the first week my tires got slashed and I ghosted by my work because the supervisor wasn't comfortable with trans people. I was harassed and bullied a lot in other work places as well until I managed to stealth, I feel it's put a great deal of shame, self hate and internalized transphobia in me that I best deal with by going stealth and not thinking about it.

If you want someone to know, you can tell them. Getting permission from anyone to disclose that sort of personal info is vital to keeping respect and trust on knowing this information. Okay quick rant I haven’t transitioned at all yet (I still have long hair) and I think that I’ll probably be stealth once I transition. Thing is I also want to start doing stand up comedy, and most comedians tell stories about their childhood. But if I start talking about my childhood it might be obvious that I’m trans. Now it might be easier to just outright say that I’m trans, but trans comedians get heckled a lot and generally aren’t viewed in the same tier as cis comedians. I’m still questioning my identity, so take all of this with a grain of salt, I just wanted to get this off my chest as there’s no one I can talk to about this without feeling like a faker. I’m still young, so I’ll wait until I’m older to start making these big decisions, but this is a problem that has been weighing on my mind recently. If you made it here, thanks for reading lmao

tldr at the end I'm living stealth currently because i just feel an extreme discomfort when other people know about my transition because they ALWAYS treat me differently. They'll always remind me about it without me wanting, they'll always make sure to treat me like a "soft uwu boy" when that's the thing i absolutely hate the most and i genuinely feel like punching them, they always say things like "i only fear *real* men so I'm fine with you being my friend", they'll always make sure i remember my dysphoria, my partners would always say they see me as a guy but then tell their friends and family I'm their "confused girlfriend" and everything else. So i promised myself I'd never tell anyone else (even if that means I'll probably never have sex again or go to pools and stuff like that lol) plus, whenever someone ends up finding out or if i tell them, I don't get taken seriously anymore. They don't listen to me, they just dismiss everything i said and say that I'm just being overdramatic or hysterical, or that I'm not experienced enough to know X or Y, etc hell, some of them would even treat me as if i was capable of hurting them while when they find out, i instantly become a soft fragile innocent virgin. When asked, i say I'm a cis guy, but i also point out that's an extremely inappropriate question and that I shouldn't even be answering it because it's none of their business tl;dr: I'm living stealth currently because no one respects me

I don’t tell people I’m trans or wear trans pride pins. I don’t even have the trans flag up on my wall but I do have the gay one. I don’t want people to know I’m trans partly because it really doesn’t matter if we are anything other than partners but mainly because I feel people see me differently if they know I’m trans. I’m no longer “just a guy” I’m a “TRANS guy” and I know that doesn’t make me any less of a man, but so many of the people I’ve met see it that way. And…also I’m just not proud of being trans so I never talk about it. I think I pass enough to not be questioned in public and have people use the right pronouns without me telling them. I feel I still look a little feminine but in a boy way, y’a know? I’ll happily tell people I’m gay though 💀💀

Sometimes I wonder if I'm doing the right thing or not, since sometimes it forces me not to be able to talk about certain personal issues.

i have only told close friends and family, that my mom technically. She saw my phone screen, wich was fun and all but has the pronouns he/him in the corner, she said "you go by he/him?" Wich was just a question, i said "yah i have been" i don't plan on ever going up to her and saying "mom im trans" because of her reaction, she made a clearly annoyed noise and rolled her eyes looking away,to this day my heart feels absolutely destroyed when thinking of it. And it never helps with gender dysphoria, i am more in the closet dressing and acting Cis,only telling my close friends and family im trans, i do ware a trans pin because i honestly don't care if anyone asks because im trans, I haven't been bullied for it at least not yet.but everyday i still look in the mirror,at why i act this way........its honestly scary liveing with my mom, because i don't feel accepted.

I'm stealth and never realized lol, About a year ago I started homeschooling completely, there was a social platform for all the kids. I made my name and pronouns my preferred (As most people do) ones and only took pictures from angles I felt euphoric, everyone just assumed I was a feminine guy, and that's what I am so I never said anything about it. But there is a problem, you see I'm bi, and have a boyfriend, he's a sweetheart and we're very happy, but watching this it occurred to me he doesn't know I'm trans. I really wanna tell him because it feels like I'm lying to him but if I do he might feel uncomfortable with me, aand it could end badly for me and him. Plus it makes me feel like I want attention, "CODDLE ME I'M TRANS!" besides I'm already asking a lot from him (I'm polymory) Honesly idk what to do, I wanna tell him, but I don't

Unfortunately majority everyone can not be stealth overnight. It’s both changing yourself as well as how you are perceived in the social environment you live in. The nice thing is you are definitely not alone in this struggle. The difficult thing is it does take a lot of time. I wish you all the luck in your journey though. Feel free to message here and on other videos if you ever need support or have questions we can all help with :)

im not sure im trans yet but i thought thats what all trans ppl do? like you transition and then you just introduce urself as your prefered gender and all and not tell anybody? i mean if youre on the internet in a trans channel of course but i thought it was the same as saying youre a feminist, you'd say it at some point but dont introduce yourself as "i am a feminist woman". learned something new today!

I’m an odd case, I’m not open about being trans as in I’m not just gonna tell people but if it comes up or someone asks I’m not gonna hesitate to say, my philosophy is that I’m not outgoing but I’m not ashamed to be trans so yeah, not going out of my way to tell everyone but not gonna hesitate to say if it comes up

Regarding this topic, is it ok that if being a trans, you say your gender without the “trans” part? Like: “Hello, I’m a female” Instead of swaying I’m a trans female. I sometimes do that because (personally) makes me feel safe and more comfortable.

Idk for me personally I dislike the term stealth as it does not feel nice. I think the term makes it feel like faking. Idk if others get that. Tho tbh getting to a point of passing could be nice but its hard to do without medical transitioning which tbh seems impossible.... =(.

I really wish I could be stealth, but being nonbinary kinda requires the opposite (bare minimum telling my pronouns if I don't want to be misgendered and have awful dysphoria). I have someone close to me, MTF, who is stealth and passes perfectly just like a cis woman would. I wish I had that luxury.
