The gun play is pretty sweet, the sounds are really good, at least to my untrained ear. Bullets ricochet, distance muffled gun fire, etc

I need to give this game another chance. I picked it up on sale shortly after it blew up in popularity, but only gave it about 30 minutes before moving on seeing it as a bit undercooked at the time. It's great to see that development has been making big advances.

I'd be ip for watching a series of this. The game would be even more interesting to me if you could recruit some of the NPCs to help you occupy islands and assign them to hunting/gathering, but that's a whole different level of gameplay.

Oh that would be awesome; setup a supply chain, some islands focus on agriculture, other scavening, mining, etc. Rather than the sole objective of "kill everyone" and being alone in the ocean lol

that underwater sound effect is very clever, but not difficult to do, but quite annoying to listen to, i think it's unnecessary, but of course that's just my opinion

This is what Bio-mutant should have been more like if it focused on building, restoring the world and fleshed out the factions more rather then the simlish and the good/ bad ending we got. That game would have lent itself better to base building and tower defense. Oh and the magic system was busted and limited.

I heard bio mutant flopped, never saw much about it. I hope this game gets more "substance" though, rather than the task of wiping out all the other humans in your neighborhood lol. It's fun while it lasts though!

@Genosis Yeah Bio Mutant was pretty trash. I feel like if they can program enemies to raid you, they could program them to travel to your base for trading rare goods or have incidents were factions crash near your base leaving behind loot or something.

Oh yeah, I tried the game out and I got super hooked on it. So much so it actually took a bit of effort to drag myself away to record 7 days lol. I mayyyy have 5 episodes recorded and edited for a series I don't have scheduled yet lol

One really neat addition that would really work in the game would be that whenever you research a recipe you'll also get an "imperfect" prototype of that item that has very limited durability and can't be repaired. So if you're desperate for a purifier then you'll get one that will eventually blow up on you with use. Would really help spice things up and encourage researching new stuff.

That would be an interesting way to go about it. Find the damage version, using it will eventually teach you how to use it, when it collapses boom you have the schematic. I like it.
