If Fears and Morez are better than Kofi and Ayo, I’ll eat my boots. Those guys were 1st team All Americans. Thats an extremely high bar. That’s just a little wild to even say tbh. The chances of that have to be minuscule. If you’re just gonna say they have the “potential” to be, well … you could say that about anyone. Maybe DGL will be better than Dee Brown next year too. It could happen.

It's hard to know exactly what you're going to get from the players on a team where every player on the team but 2 are brand new to the team. Every IL team throughout the last several years or so we've known what we could expect from certain holdover players on the team but we don't have that luxury now with the exception of Ty and DGL. It could be a great season or it could be a down year. I think it might be a down year. It's the 2025-26 season where IL will bounce back to what they were in the 2023-24 season. Imo, had they gotten Demin and(or) brought Hawkins back, then I think we could be talking about IL possibly winning the B1G and getting a high ncaa tourney seed snd making a run, but without them, I doubt it. Kasparas is not the TSJ scoring replacement I hoped Brad was going to get. We need that slash to the basket and attack the rim type of guy and I don't think we have it. We have some ball handlers and passers and good shooters, but not that drive to the basket and slam it home type athletic guy. Demin and Storr are those types if guys. We needed one of them.

This year The shooters have great passers to get them the ball. Domask and Ty can't handle near as well as Kylan and Kasparas. Ben will get a ton of open shots.
