Causality has updates all the time and it is a bit hard to get started having to watch videos to figure things out. If you are into doing outlines, tags and beats for your script it might be perfect. But you can only get the first 9 pages free then you have to pay. It can be a constant struggle dealing with their customer service as they only have one customer service person who is the guy who designed the program and he lives in France. I am looking forward to trying the other free writing ones while I write my soon to be award winning series. Thanks much for the info. Appreciate it!

Really cool video. I used the paid version of Celtx for a while but it always seemed to be full of bugs. Ended up going with Fade In, which I love. I'm keen to see how this Scrite is.
@itsjameskmartin Жыл бұрын
Personally, I’m a big advocate for Scrite.io as it’s new and still developing, but has made a lot of progress. As long as you find something that works for you.

Thank you so much. Until now, I've only wrote novels and short stories, but now I'm asked to write an audio drama and I have no idea what software to use. They send me an example and the sheet they send me looks a lot like a script for a screenplay - I’ve read the Resident Evil-Script by George A. Romero. So, maybe a scrip software is suitable for me. But what software should I choose? This video helped me immensely to answer this question and I think I’ll give Scrite a shot. Thank you again!

I'm testing Causality and the truth is that it has many bugs, it's only a 9 page script and it can't seem to support full character development with different connections. Good idea, but don't even think about paying. Fadein for me is still the best, simple and direct to what you need

Good to know. Remember, that if a software delves into different languages it’s because it’s appealing to a certain demographic of clients. Have you tried Scrite.io to see if that supports Arabic?

All right, have been following you for some time now and to date have various scripts (using Writerduet). So what do I do with them now? I live in rural Penna., not exactly film country. Any suggestions on how to proceed, the next step?
@itsjameskmartin Жыл бұрын
Hey James! I appreciate the love. There’s two things you can do: 1) Keep holding onto those scripts and continue writing more in case the time is right to make any of them; and 2) Make your scripts, upload them online, share the journey online, and allow that to build up awareness, brand, and content to show to future producers (or make money). Hope that helps!

Some may not have a spelling check. I’m not sure which exactly. If you use an online software like Celtx, try also using Grammerly.

Yes, but Celtx sores your work on their server, you don't appear to be able to download it and save it to your own computer?
@itsjameskmartin8 ай бұрын
Correct. You don’t save the project to your computer. It’s auto saved online. The benefit to that is that you can access the project anywhere and it’s saved even if something were to happen to your computer.

@@itsjameskmartin short film lengths measured in minutes. 15-20 mins. ADS and CLIPS are much shorter and rely more heavily on a different set of tools writers use for short films. So maybe you know where to look for this info.
