Lure speed, or our retrieval speed, can make a huge difference in how many bites we get. Bass are very aware of their environment and rely on instincts to tell them when to eat. So what is the best speed? Should we fish slow? Should we fish fast? Or somewhere in-between? Dialing in the best lure retrieval speed for each type of lure may not be as hard as we first think.
