I really like the bungee jumper rig ever since a pro angler buddy showed it to me several years ago. In certain parts of my local fisheries, it's just about the only way to fish a neko-type presentation without pulling off a glob of gunk after every castl

My son absolutely loves that rig. He catches fish on it like crazy in and around vegetation. I just have to keep from gluing my fingers together when putting a dab on the weight. Lol, probably should just use a nail weight more often.

I have used that hook in the past, but I prefer using the Hayabusa WRM 202 weedless wacky hook for my neko rigs now. It’s cheaper and when used with an elastech worm works extremely well!
@SteveRogersOutdoors5 ай бұрын
I will have to try that. Thank you!

awesome tip, thanks for this! never tried this bungee jumper thing and have been getting really fed up with all my "weedless" rigs getting stuck or bringing in all the habitat with them. definitely going to be trying this right away.

IMO, the neko rig also hangs up way less on rocks and rip rap than a T Rig, drop shot, or shaky head for the reason that you mentioned...the hook and line tie are not on the same angle as the weight. It keeps the line tension from wedging the weight into rock crevices.
@SteveRogersOutdoors5 ай бұрын
The center line tie works really well.
