Magnesium benefits.
Magnesium is the 4th most abundant mineral you have. Magnesium is involved in over 300 important metabolic reactions from energy production, regulating your blood pressure, transmitting nerve signals across your body, all the way to healthy muscle contractions.
Magnesium foods.
Now without a doubt you can get magnesium from many whole foods like your green veggies, legumes, nuts like brazil nut which is the most dense, and seeds like pumpkin seeds which are super high in magnesium. But the problem is almost up to two-thirds of people in the Western world don’t get enough magnesium from just their diet. So supplements are needed to give you that extra boost to prevent magnesium deficiency.
Magnesium for anxiety. What is the best magnesium supplement for anxiety?
If your trying to tackle anxiety and promote an overall relaxation. Then go with magnesium glycinate. Its a well-absorbed form of magnesium that is chelated to two molecules of the amino acid, glycine. Glycine is a very relaxing amino acid, which is studied to help calm anxiety and promote sleep.
Magnesium for leg cramps and pain. Which magnesium is best for nerve pain.
Magnesium Malate. Which is basically magnesium thats bound to malic acid which is the energy-promoting form of magnesium that works by helping the body create ATP, which is the energy currency of our cells that is also supposed to help with fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome. Whats also interesting is that the malic acid may help bind toxic metals in the body and help them get eliminated.
Magnesium for heart. Which magnesium for heart, muscles, bones, and nerves.
Magnesium citrate. Its a super popular one because its about 30% bioavailable, and what it does, is that it pulls water into the bowels giving you more of a laxative effect so that things start moving in the gut.
Magnesium for blood sugar. Which magnesium is good for blood sugar.

Same here, I took statins in the beginning of high B/P and the side effects were "may damage kidneys" which no one told me about, so now I have CKD...Chronic Kidney Disease.

Yep absolutely right. What I figured out just now is that my equate multivitamin Puritan's Pride calcium magnesium citrate plus vitamin D3 and another Spring Valley magnesium supplement that I'm taking are all the crappy Mg supplements! Mg Oxide, aspartate, and stearate. 🤬 I'm only getting a little bit of the good stuff, Mg citrate.

I have the life extension L theronate, i was also putting chlorophyll in my water but my mag blood results was 2.5 over where I should be ( too much mag) for the brain blood barrier one does that go to the blood or just the brain? I really liked the way that made me feel! My doc said stop taking it because I was high. I don’t think she realizes its for just brain? I want to know if Ltheronate 3 is just for brain? Was it the chlorophyll or that throwing my numbers high?

I would suggest you apply what he says here, and go by your personal symptoms to figure which ones you need. There are many different components to menopause and the symptoms you might be experiencing. You might also need Progesterone cream and B vitamins when going through menopause. Everyone's needs and symptoms during menopause is different. Hope this helps. ❤

I've taken magnesium for a number of years from Bio Innovations in TX by a Doctor which has a selective line of supplements. I've been taking the "Chelated Magnesium" and find no issues with its performance, however Bio Innovations have not put out a full description of benefits. I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts.

I got 2 popular brands of magnesium supplements, and they are reasonably available in pharmacies, but neither says what kind of magnesium it is in the fine print. The other ones you mention are probably harder to find and much more expensive,

What about magnesium carbonate? It’s in a product called Natural Calm which is supposed to be relaxing and helpful for stress. I didn’t hear you mention this form.

That's exactly what I was waiting to hear, and it was never mentioned. I needed to know if Magnesium Carbonate would intrrfere with other pressure medications. I'm really surprised that Carbonate (CALM) was NOT mentioned at all.

That's because CALM is considered citrate. When you mix with water chemical reaction occurs with the citric acid in it and you have magnesium citrate as a result. You are drinking citrate. I was confused at first then it was explained to me.

Has anyone listened to TC Hale video - Kick it Naturally. He states that magnesium is the most pro-catabolic mineral there is, meaning this mineral is designed to assist your body create energy, break down tissue and assist the body to be in an active state. So potentially magnesium should be taken in the morning? Would a person take threonate in the morning or before bedtime specifically for me the goal is sleep? I have taken threonate for the past 3 weeks at 150 mg of actual elemental threonate in the morning and have not noticed anything as of yet. I also have taken Mg Glycinate before bedtime for years with zero improvement in sleep. Anyone have anything to suggest? Thanks.

I had that same question and need. I did some research and what I found was that it is ok to take multiple types but.....separated by time. Some vitamins and minerals are better taken and absorbed at certain times of day. Also some minerals will have a higher absorption rate if paired with another vitamin. Example: if you want to take tumeric then you should take black pepper as well. The opposite works too. Some minerals or vitamins when taken together will actually work against one another and sometimes cause cancellation of one or side effects. So depending on what type you need check to see if it has a little buddy or enemy. Then split the types, one morning and one afternoon. Or whatever. Hope that made sense.

If you require a diffrent needs, can we mix it up to a require dose? Lets say 150mg Malate and 150mg/or less Citrate? I have only been taking either or, which is glycinate (with gaba & melatonin) at night when i need to get back to my sleeping cycle or citrate to help regular bowel movements, and i know i could benefit from magnesium malate as i work out 5-6 days a week.

I've read that if diarrhea happens, then that's the point where one needs to reduce the dosage that one is taking.

Yeah he may not be an md but in this day and age of Information superhighway, the people who research the most and cared the most for people are getting more and more ATTENTION from most people. I happened to ask an md about this particular mineral and he’s obviously not updated with ONLY very limited info on this topic.. this gentleman has obviously done research on the topic AND has obviously invested more time. In this so called digital age, you can have more great info if only you do your own due diligence. Just hope this comment helps a lot of people about it.
