A note about weapon ergo in general and 7.62 NATO suppressors specifically: The game also takes weapon weight into account when calculating ADS speed. This means that at little over half the weight of other options, the CB30+Ultra combo has barely more of an ADS speed penalty than the Wave 7.62+QD but -3 more recoil. If you don't care about recoil at all (as on a bolt-action) the Hybrid 46 is still better, but if you do the Ultra 5 is the best all around suppressor for the caliber IMO

​​@@f4mmer540ergo is overated, dude. Weight is way more important for DMR. An optimally built Scar 17 weight less than 5kg while a meta M1A is around 7 kg. At that weight a 40 ergo Scar ADS faster and have 50% better stamina consumption than a 70 ergo M1A. Edit: JDog's G28 build is also wrong because of weight. With the Patrol handguard and the simplified buttstock the G28 is over 1/2 kg lighter, resulting in better gun handling overall despite having less ergo.

And yes I do know weapon weight also affect ADS time. but for SR-25 builds of similar weight, the ADS time of the scar is nothing. If you are comparing the SCAR to other 7.62s compare it to the SR-25 because no sane person is going out of their way to build an M1A, it has crap recoil, crap weight, crap muzzle velocity and crap price

SVDS may have worse stats, but it has better ammo, which means you don't have the same dilema of having either issues penetrating helmets at range or using tracers.

Great video, but I think you forgot one important detail about the RSASS: it is the most accurate DMR in the game, even beating out some bolt action rifles. With a more ergonomic-focused build, it can be a great replacement to bolt action rifles for long distance shots, with the ability to take followup shots very quickly.

One other point for long range sniping; the RSASS has significantly better MOA than the other two. This helps if you do very long range shots at lighthouse for example and you plan to use that bipod. If you are going all out for accuracy, the 2A Armanent X3 works out the best accuracy booster for it but you are probably better off with a suppressor as you will attract less attention. The KAC also has good accuracy increase and the suppressor adds velocity which might on balance help more than going the louder higher accuracy brake. I've made some silly crap in PVE just because I know I get it back, I made an RSASS with the shorter barrel, that Hera arms front grip and the M11 Severe-Duty muzzle brake. Its stupid as hell, but it looks wild 🤣 I think I went pretty high recoil reduction for the stock as its kind of a hip-fire blaster.

I made meta versions of all 3 - all with short barrels. The SR has a 1.49 MOA, RSASS has a 1.17, and the G28 has a 1.1.

Tbh m80 being on Peacekeeper lvl 4 loyalty is a joke in the first place and it also makes .308 as a whole useles until lvl 37 at least. I personaly would consider svd-s as a contaender + it also could use bipods via special barrel mount, so the handguard doesn't matter.

I personally like the G28 the most. The RSASS is a great option as well. The SR25 though feels off compared to a few wipes ago since i last played. I know many changes happened since then but it just doesn't feel anything like it used to as it used to be my preferred DMR. But the G28 just feels so strong

Focus on Ergo on DMR’s, recoil reduction will come with best inslot ERGO attachments. The SR-25 has been Ergo with Supressor. (Remember Razor scope reduces your ergo by 3, Vudu by 1).

I've always had this weird relationship with DMRs. Whenever I died to one, I said to myself "huh, why don't I use 'em as well?" And whenever I do, I always wished I had something that could go full auto. This wipe is no different, I had a weekly quest to kill scavs on Shoreline with SR-25 so I've built one, ran Shoreline and the raid was dead, no gunshots but scavs dead everywhere I went so I headed towards the Resort and who isn't sitting behind the corner completely silent? Sanitar and his boys... killed him and 2 of his guards, but even with the bigger mag I was out and dead. Round two spawned me at the weather station hill so I immediately ran towards the river the goes down in the middle of the map, since almost ever eastern spawn is either rush out of there as soon as possible or die to someone sitting in one of the million bushes that are there. Got my ass on the big rock where cultists can spawn and of all times the sniper scav on the water treatment just decided to end my raid right there and then with a clear one tap. Round three spawned me in the village so I made my way towards the two cottages in hopes of getting that god damn Lion statue from a safe in one of the safes over there and just when I unlocked the second cottage's door, headed upstairs and started digging through one of the safes? Partisan just decided that he's over setting up tripwires and being stealthy. He just rushed my ass and again, having something that can full auto would made me PROBABLY stay alive, but alas what can you do against an NPC in Tarkov that rush-slides you innit? Fourth raid was another ghost-town and even though I was convinced there was no Sanitar in the Resort, I still rather aimed towards the Smuggler's base. Where either a player or Partisan set up a tripwire which I walked through and died to, only to get the death message "Died" with no Player name or NPC name, so I decided to leave DMRs again. I don't know, whenever i pick one up it's always I wished that i had the option of full-auto on something like MDR 7.62x51 or the FN SCAR-H. Or even the god damn ASH-12, all of these weapons I use single-fire for the most part, but when someone is close or shit just hits the fan, you can just flip the switch and explain someone why you just don't want another app crash after the 5 minute loading into the menu.

SR-25 is the most ergonomic and versatile, can be used in many different configurations, sounds amazing, accepts 25-round lancers, and is the most affordable if you don't change its barrel and handguard (which many people do, although that barely brings it to the level of G28, albeit for much higher price). Its drawbacks are the highest recoil and lowest accuracy of the three, although that barely matters below 200 meters. RSASS is the least ergonomic yet most accurate and with lowest recoil, also accepts 25-round mags and comes equipped with the best handguard and barrel by default. It is the most accurate DMR except for the Mjolnir, but its length and weigth can be uncomfortable in confined spaces or situations when mobility is required, limiting its intended use to open areas and long ranges. G28 is the middle ground between them, although it is not the absolut best in any category, it wins the title of the best DMR simply by being good in all aspects, without any drawbacks other than the incompatibility with 25-rounders. It's very lightweight and has slightly worse ergo than the SR-25, but with accuracy and recoil not much worse than RSASS. It requires nearly no modding and is the only one of the three with a bipod-compatible handguard by default, and also comes equipped with a 1-8x or 3-20x scope depending on the preset.

As for the other notable DMRs, in my opinion: SVDS can be used either as a budget option with the stylish combo of stock gun + PSO, or it can be modded to the limit, depending on the budget, which is a plus. It has good accuracy and can be built to achieve okay ergonomics, bit its strength lies in ammo availability. As an early game or budget build it can still perform quite well with T46M, while LPS or PS can be used on mid tier builds, and despite their lower velocity PS already outperforms M80 and M62 in terms of effectiveness on target. And then you have SNB and BS, both of which outperform M61, and SNB is also far more easily accessible, with BT being the most optimal round overall. Damage nearly on par with M80 but taps through class 5 with ease, and is accessible far earlier than M61 for western DMRs. M1A is in a rough spot right now, sadly it is the worst DMR by far if not used built on the SASS chassis with 22 inch barrel, and even then it struggles to beat the competition due to its overly high recoil and horrendously high weight. The only advantage it has over its competition are the 30-, and especially 50-round mags, which can make it an oppressive powerhouse when it comes down to the volume of fire it can dish out. With them you can suppress targets easily and try to shoot them through covers without the fear of running out of ammo too soon, and it works even better with a bipod. But in this way it serves more as a wanna-be LMG, not an actual precision rifle. I would also recommend using it unsuppressed to cut down on weight and save some ergo. That said, it is probably the worst of all DMRs right now. And that's a shame
