what is the best way to stop roof tile slippage at valleys

Roof valleys often leak because of a common defect.
There are no National Construction Code requirements to stop tiles from slipping at valleys. So, what do Aussie roofers do to correct this defect?
The valley clip.
This metal contraption can be quite effective if installed correctly. But it is far from perfect.
So, are there any other ways of anchoring roof tiles at valleys?

Awesome video-you’re 100% right. Valley clips can easily get kicked off. We’ve started using a small bead of silicone over the clip to keep it in place

Valley clips are good if done correctly although I've noticed that they rust after a few years. Silicone is also good if done correctly. The leak is generally on an older roof and so everything is very dirty and the surfaces need to be clean if the silicone is going to stick properly. Also a generous amount of silicone needs to be used.
