Please don’t leave KZbin Danya… it’s not necessary a speedrun, you can comment one of your favourite Blitz game of the day after or something like that…. But the explanation of a game 3 times a week is just my favourite content in KZbin (Chessly speaking). Thank you very much and keep going… you’ll hit a million subs here someday.

I was overwhelmed with the QGD theory. Thats when I started playing Carlsbad, and its such a fun and intuitive opening. Most of the time I can learn from my mistakes unlike other QGD positions where it becomes very complicated for me.

Nge2 works well against be6, allowing Nf4 and the often smothered bishop is trapped- capturing often forces black to recapture with the f pawn leaving his light squares weak given black has often already played h6.

The origin of this opening was during the 1800s when a club level player carl was too self obsessed with his chess so a master level player challenged him and decided to play a random line which he had not analysed prior and mated him with 5queens, and he decided to name the opening carl is bad variation (carlsbad variation)

Why did you edit parts of your game out? Specifically, around the 12:20 (game time) mark, you were contemplating f5 and cut like 20 seconds out of the video. Is this just to shorten the length of the video?
