What style is more similar to Okinawa te shotokan or kyokushinkai?
@jean4j_

I think kyokushin is due to its Goju-Ryu root, body conditioning and closer range

@@EduardoRodriguez-ks4em yes sure but if I had to choose between the two, the conditioning and the focus on close range make Kyokushin closer to Goju Ryu than Shotokan.

At the start of the interview, it sounds like he said, “Oss”, which isn’t allowed in Okinawan Karate. Maybe I misunderstood what he said?

@@hamzadesidragonsarwar I am respectfully aware of that. I trained Okinawan martial arts. I misunderstood what the karateka said in the video, which is why I asked the question. In addition, Americans are not the only nationality to “Oss” continuously in a dojo.

Thank you for your comment. What do traditional karate performers actually think, act, and imagine in the present age? It's a question of thoughts that you can't usually hear or know. Regarding the KATA, it will be a competition type, but I think that it is easy to understand how the one that inherits traditional karate is also facing karate as a competition, so I dare to introduce the competition KATA. We hope you understand.
