While you make it look so easy and efficient, this CSD thing is so frustrating. They take ages to respond and when they do, they keep rejecting but don’t tell you what and how to correct. You make the corrections and they take another week to respond this time with something different and again no direction on what to correct and how. Such a poor country needing my money should do better than this. I ended up just shutting the account. It then took me 15 minutes to open a similar account with the USA treasury and put the money there. Shame on CBK. When shall Kenya grow up??????

Hello, thank you for sharing this information. I managed to create a csd account and got the confimation email with the csd account number. But, the virtual account number was not there. Does it mean this number is nolonger required if you open the accoiunt using the online platform?

Hello Agatha, I noticed that once the account has been validated, when you go into details, accounts, then CDS accounts section where you have custodians and then CBK details with the 0004 reference, status of the account whether active or not then your names, then another number beginning with N.... Right under this number there is a button. What is the purpose of that button? Should be Grey or blue?

Hi, I already had a cds account and got shifted to the new dhow csd system. My Portfolio account got changed from xxxxxx-0001 to xxxxxx-0004. I hereby enquire ro know whether my virtual account number remains the same as the previous one. And in case it also got changed, could there be other way (s) by which I can make payments for securities without necessarily contacting my commercial bank, or CBK (who unfortunately rarely respond)?

Hi, I get this message Your user registration has been rejected in CSD. Reason: VISIT YOUR BRANCH FOR ID UPLOAD. OR UPLOAD YOUR PASSPORT. Does this mean I have to contact my bank as they do have my details, or do I have to contact dhowcsd? My bank stated I dont need the dhowcsd account to invest but from your previous video, clearly they get fees so are not supporting opening Dhowcsd. Perhaps I should change banks in this case?
