The talmudic books are just that, books, they are not Authoritative like the Torah. This are collection of commentaries by rabbis and the trainee rabbis study these commentaries more than they study the Torah and the Tanakh. That's why in the New Testament Jesus was always arguing with the Pharisees on Torah and end bn up being called names like hypocrites and vipers and so on because they make the Laws into traditions instead of teaching the exact laws from Torah to the people. Had Pharisees studied the Tanakh they would have been ready when Jesus was born and they would have welcome their Messiah like the Three Magi did or they would have would have converted to His teachings in His Ministry. No they rejected His teachings and declared Him a blasphemer and handed over to the Romans to be crucified. His crucifixion was also prophesied and it's in the Tanakh but they did not know and they called for Jesus crucifixion. They spend their time studying the talmud less on Torah and Tanakh and they missed the most important person who came and two thousand years on they are still waiting for their Messiah.

Asking as a Christian, if everything in the Torah is read through the lenses of the Mishna and Talmud, wouldn't that give these extra biblical works contextual and interpretative power over Moses and the prophets? Or do you merely treat these works as commentaries and each rabbi is free to pick and choose which authors they like over other authors? I've been listening to a couple of Rabbi's on KZbin this week and found that their exegetical approach is laden with references to Mishna and Talmud. I'd imagine that over time you would end up with contributors to the Talmud that aren't aligned well with previous authors and that you would end up with interpretative differences as well as debates between my Rabbi vs your Rabbi and so on...

The Talmud is one of the main reasons for the persecution of Jews throughout history. Not a coincidence that the persecution started in the 600’s or 100 years after it was compiled. Are there any such passages that explicitly describe what you’re asking? No, there are not. It, however, is inferred because commandments that should be carried out are given to us in the Torah, while the “how-to” of some of those commandments is not given in the Torah. So how can we do these things if the explanation of how to perform them is not given??? One example would be the Kosher slaughtering of animals. It necessarily implies an oral tradition. But your question appears to be genuine. So to reiterate…. No, there are not clear, definite or explicit verses showing what you’re asking. But it’s implied. You could view it as a premise of faith. And virtually all arguments (even some scientific ones..I.e. “grant me one miracle and I’ll explain the rest”) have at least one “granted” point of faith. And this one is ours.

At some point after the destruction of the Temple in Jerusalem in the year 70ce and disperse of the Jewish people to diaspora there was great concern amongst the rabbis and leaders of the nation that these traditions would be lost for future generations if not transfered from verbal into written format and so the Mishna and Talmud were collected into written volumes.

No offense, you know that Jesus was not a Christian, he was a Jew. He may judge his Christian followers, but remaine directly under the One God. Prase his name.

The Torah oor the Old Testament was TRUE. The Talmud is from man. One from God and the other ? One from the Law and the other lawless. God the Father inspired by the Holy in Believers understands the scriptures. The Lord simplified the scriptures, we have his written Word. And we have his beloved Promised Jewish Messiah Jesus Christ 🙏

Is it true that you jewish consider nonjewish people equal to animals sort of, like it's not sin to kill nonjew or hurt them in any way or it's ok to sleep before marriage with non Jew women but not with jew women, and non jew women are like prostitutes... it's ok to take money from non jew, it's not a sin..etc.. Is it true???
@Israel.with.David.Haivri2 жыл бұрын
No, it's not true.

The Torah states unequivocally that ALL men were created in the image of God (Genesis 1:27). I have found when looking for information online it doesn't matter what you want to know someone is more than willing to answer your question. And if you typed 'are non jew women are like prostitutes' you'll find tons of websites that say yes. I'm guessing your questions come from something you've read. But anyone can be an expert, anyone can twist the truth to suit their own agenda, and quite often a lot of information presented online is completely false. Your questions can all be answered with an unequivocal No.

It is my understanding that Moses recorded The Torah and The Laws from the Tablet that was given to him by ELohym /God at mount Sina. Both, The Torah and The Book of The Laws were placed on the right side of the ARC of the covenant as a constant reminder to the The Hebtew People This, however was written in Paleo Hebrew and not in your modern Hebrew that is used in Y'srael today. With further understanding , The Laws and The Statues were given to Moses and The Hebrew people. It is Later on through Abraham's decendances which gives bith to the twelve sons resulted from Issac, to Yacob birthing Y'srael. The tribes of Levite to which the priesthood was assigned and The Laws were adhere to and not to body of Rabbies. The Laws were not condensed to suit a person or a specific tribe but all Y'srael.

The Ten Commandments are meant for everyone, from Adam and Eve, right through to today. God's Ten Commandments is His Character, how and what He expects from us. It's a mirror, showing us right from wrong and most importantly, it was given long before God chooses the Jewish people to be His evangelical messengers to spread the good news of the birth of Jesus and redemption and reunitement of man with God. The Jews screwed up their God-given mission in Matthew 27:25 😢

Therefore, there is no longer any condemnation awaiting those who are in union with the Messiah Yeshua. Why? Because the Torah of the Spirit, which produces this life in union with Messiah Yeshua, has set me free from the “Torah” of sin and death. But now, you who were once far off have been brought near through the shedding of the Messiah’s blood. For he himself is our shalom - he has made us both one and has broken down the m’chitzah which divided us by destroying in his own body the enmity occasioned by the "Torah", with its commands set forth in the form of ordinances. He did this in order to create in union with himself from the two groups a single new humanity and thus make shalom, and in order to reconcile to God both in a single body by being executed on a stake as a criminal and thus in himself killing that enmity. For it was through letting the Torah speak for itself that I died to its traditional legalistic misinterpretation, so that I might live in direct relationship with God.
