When I became born again in Christ Jesus it was a new beginning, it seems the answers I had about life and who I am made sense, but not at first. Transformation starts with Lord and ends there with Salvation, it takes time as He prepares you and teaches you all things through the Holy Spirit. I leave it all to God trusting Him with everything living total peace even though there are days of struggles, but that's how Jesus lived with tribulations and conflicts, but we overcome them through Jesus. A life-threatening event at an early age made me very aware of my soul. The Lord’s rescue made me understand there is a God who watches over us. But I had no connection to that God until I recognized I needed Jesus in my heart. When I asked Him to come into my heart and save me. I knew immediately when He awakened my spirit and saved me. An excellent presentation. I have also learned previously that it is the Spirit that communicates with G-d and the Spirit also communicates with our Souls. During Adam and Eve's time before the curse their Spirits had a close communication with G-d and therefore their Souls were not corrupted. After the fall our Spirits no longer communicated directly with G-d so therefore our Souls became more corrupt and our thoughts became evil. When we accept Jesus as Lord the Holy Spirit comes within us and our Souls no longer are as corrupt as before due to the renewing of our minds or being born again. We want to please G-d and although we still sin we no longer want to.

To those that are confused...The soul is within your whole body, when you die it departs from your body. It is the very thing that makes you breath, eat , think and literally do anything to show that you are living. It is a gift from God whom you can know through Lord Jesus Christ. It is common sense, which is also derived by the soul. Your spirit is always there to remind you that you need God as He is our natural habitat. Your Soul is much closer to your body/the flesh and sin,while your spirit is closer to the spiritual realm - the things of the spirit and only seeks to be closer to home - God (it deals with our consciousness). They are co-existing in your body like 'yoke & egg white in the egg shell' - without the other, a being/life cannot be created.

We're comprised of 3 parts: body, spirit, soul. Each has "doors," by which we're able to contact each part. The body has 5 doors by which we contact it, we call those 5 senses: touch, smell, hear, sight, taste. These are the only ways to contact the body. Within the body, deep in the heart, there's another part of us. This is our spirit. The spirit also has 5 doors or avenues by which we can contact it, they're memory, reason, conscience, imagination, affection. The spirit is also what we refer to as the mind or psyche. It is the center of our intelligence and not the brain is we've been taught. Within your spirit there's another body called the soul. The soul reflects the nature of your spirit, and it has only 2 doors or avenues by which we can contact it, and they are either faith or doubt. The soul is the control tower of your being. You're ruled from there outwards. There's also feedback between all dimensions of us, each having an impact on the other, whether positive or negative. This really highlights the necessity of living intentionally and not unconsciously where we either build or destroy ourselves. The Bible doesn't explicitly note the differences, but we can put together the pieces that it lays out.

Very nice coverage of this important issue. Before I became a Christian my spirit was dead to God but became alive to Him when I accepted Christ as my saviour. My sins had been forgiven and I could then approach God through my spirit. In the teaching no reference is made to the role of the Holy Spirit, which acts as a helper and adviser alongside my spirit.
