As a 2021 Gold Medalist graduate of Mechanical Engineering from a very reputable institute of Pakistan, I'm still jobless. No matter how positive he may sound on the program (or on paper), I have lost hope in this system. Whether it was Khans, Sharifs, or Zardaris, the result has always been the same. There's no point in blame game now, the fact that we have reached such a point is the proof of our *collective* failure.

A very thoughtful podcast; I had my reservations on listening to this. But now perspective’s have changed. Agreed Imran khan is an excellent Story Teller and the new age Casablanca. Agreed with his point of IK playing the Hard to get part. It’s the time that actually everyone stands up rather then calling people to the streets. Being a wishful thinker; I hope under his leadership. They make reforms and digitise the transformation infrastructure. And take a leap of India’s book. They have introduced P&F as a government policy. Encouraging the business who work on cash to pay taxes. Naya Pakistan, old Pakistan; make it just safe pakistan

This would really help get the narrative of those victimized among PPP and PMLN, and these sane voices will be able to give a clear roadmap of what we can do in the future. Please try to invest some of them. It also goes hand in hand with those who talk about Reimagining Pakistan. Not interested in watching the full podcast but as far I have watched, I've realized that you always use wording that appeal your honorable guests which in this case is Ahsan Iqbal. Not a huge fan of PTI but the way you said: "PTI zaleel hokar, narrative bech kar ye hokar woh hokar Parliament Jana chah rahi thi to ap ny roka kyun". Nothing wrong with the question as such but the wording is problematic and may offend PTI folks straightaway. Secondly, you rarely challenge the logics presented by the guests which I think is wrong cuz he said many things controversial and you just passed by them with a grin. I hope that you take it as a healthy suggestion instead of taking a screenshot of this comment and posting it on your Twitter saying youthiye asli account sai ao.

@@ThePakistanExperience I didn't think his argument about competence/being filtered out was true. We've seen these parties make massive technical blunders yet still preserve their vote. Secondly, it's quite convenient that all these "competent" people are born to families already holding power and wealth. Apart from a few families/individuals, almost the entirety of Pakistan can't compete for these positions so, how is their competence even being tested? All of that being said, I can understand that the conversation has to flow and you can't be too confrontational/get bogged down on a single point.

While listening to the podcast, I couldn't help but notice a recurring question asked of Ali Zaidi about Pervaiz Ilahi being the biggest goon of Punjab, and his recent decision to join PTI. It reminded me of the derogatory remarks Shahbaz Sharif and Mian Nawaz Sharif used to make about Zardari and the PPP, yet there was no mention of it during the podcast. It seems that "Zardari mafia" and the PPP have now become allies with those who once threatened to drag them on the roads. As a listener and a "Naraz Voter of PTI," I appreciate your podcasts, but I felt it was important to bring up this point since you seemed to express some concern when Ali Zaidi mentioned that your questions were "leaned." Your short comment would be highly appreciated. :)

I just started listening to this. Have a point to make. At 19:33, he starts talking about the climate disaster and the hopes that they had for getting some understanding and leniency from the international community. This is the very mindset that has lead Pakistan to the disaster it is in today. Our decision makers are always looking for a father in the international community. Be it Kashmir, waters, natural disasters or economy. They have NEVER tried to enable a favourable environment for the economy to actually grow sustainably. Why are we so reliant on others and still not learning our lesson? What interests does the international community have in saving us? Or protecting us? Or being lenient on us in any way? Why cant this reality be drilled into the heads of our decision makers that we are all alone. And we have to get our act together by ourselves. Without China, US, Saudia, UAE, World Bank or IMF. I will keep posting updates in edits as this conversation progresses.

He's kinda right. Never gave a single thought to ever vote for PMLN as a Karachiite. Have always instinctively thought of them as one of the good old corrupt parties who didn't do anything when they had power, even though I'm not politically active and don't know shit. May have to rethink stuff. Enjoyed this convo a lot!

They had 35 years in power. They were in power when Imran khan was just a cricketer and he is trying to convince the public Pakistan is in such a state because of Imran khan. And I can't believe people are actually thinking about it.

4500 trillion rupees. Where the hell did all this money go. And this doesn't include a single dollar USA gave us for the past 23 years. Which is billions of dollars. The IMF is saying we will only give you money after you show the tax returns of your army generals and judges and these leaders because they can see what has happened to all the money they have given us. And that is something these people can't do because if they do that it will be clear where all the money went.

@@hamzaabdulsattar9690 since they are one with the establishment every year of Pakistans existence except the 3 and a half years Imran khan was in power. I was being nice by saying 35. If you want to count they will be 71 and a half years. Pakistan had more money than India in the 1980's. And then came nawaz sharif benazir and musharraf. Musharraf was lucky because he got dollars to become a target killer for the Americans and 10 years before him and 10 years after him these both had power , nawaz sharif even had two third majority for 5 years and still it's all Imran khan fault. Your rite. The day he was removed from power our country was growing by 6%, and it has not even been a year since he left and now default is the only thing anyone is talking about. Shebaz Sharif didn't care when our country was flooded but postponed the all party conference twice because he couldn't wait to go to Turkey because of the earthquakes in their country. And he didn't want to send a rescue team to Turkey he was planning to go himself with bilawal but the Turkish government told him to basically f off. I can keep on going.

@@hamzaabdulsattar9690 by PMLN I meant PDM. Sorry you didn't realize in your privilege but for the past year all of these party's are one. Eventhough shebaz was supposed to drag zardari on the streets and get the money out ,they are together exactly how Imran said in his first address to the nation after becoming prime minister. Almost each and every thing he said in that address in 2018 has happened to the dot. How about you watch that again and then compare it to what has happened in the past year.

@@hamzaabdulsattar9690 3 terms for nawaz as prime minister. Sindh has been under ppp since the martial law ended. And Punjab has been with PMLN when ppp had the centre. So combined these people have ruled Pakistan for over 35 years. And even if you only count 1990 to 1999 and 2008 to 2018 that is still 6 times more than Imran. But no everything wrong with Pakistan is somehow imrans fault

PTI has only 1 advantage. PMLN and PPP are just not competent enough. Nepotism runs deeply in these parties with bilawal and Maryam Being propped up as leaders. Until this changes, PTI will continue to garner votes in elections.

And tell me honestly PTI ka voter PTI ka hy ya Khan ka he ? Wahn bhi bhai Shakhsiat parasti hi to he.. Masla sirf ye bhi nahi.. Mera concernyeh he k Imran khan ke naam pe Vote Ali Amin Gandapur jese ghundy lety hein.. Why the hell khan allows that ? Poori Pti following Azam Sawati pe tars khaa rahi thii.. yar thooora sa uska background research kro he deserves wayy way way worse than that.. and it has nothing to do with politics even.. Har chor ghunda Pti me ghus kar Imran ke naam pe vote le rha he or follower un chor ghundo ko defend bhi kr rhy hein...
