Really good advice in this video, thank you! I started a 17:7 time restricted diet at the start of the pandemic, and saw immediate results. Dropped 15 pounds and completely stabilized my GFR, which up to that point was dropping a few points every quarter. I later added KetoCitra and dropped another 5 pounds and my function still remains stable 3 years later!

Diagnosed with PKD over 20 years ago. Been drinking lots of water and limiting sodium for much of that time. A few years ago started more into the low carb and low sugar. I have learned quite a lot about plant based Keto (as well as oxalates) when I took the Ren-Nu nutritional program for PKD. I have been feeling a lot better with making better choices and also incorporating KetoCitra into my daily routine. So much awesome research and info out there for us.

Any thoughts: Im 34, have had pkd since a kid. I am healthy, workout daily (250 pushups/ 150+ situps/ basketball/ bike), in great shape. I eat organic steak one a week, meat every day organic, sometimes twice a day. I drink approx 5 beer a week, drink two cups of coffee a day. I am reasonably low stress. My kidneys are fully functioning. Am I potentially on a terrible path with my diet, or because its all organic non processed, am in good shape, its a good plan? I just don't find I get enough energy when I go more plant based. But also wanna make sure I live as long as possible. Thanks for the help

Thank you so much for emphasizing the differences between a plant-focused ketogenic diet and the more common version that is so often discussed.

hello and thanks for the channel. my whole family has pkd an i am awaiting confirmation that i have it as well. i have started a ketogenic diet and the pain has subsided but my question was if the diet denies the cysts glucose how do we factor for gluconeogenisis? when that process happens and your body is converting lactase, glycerol, alanine, etc into glycogen for the few organs that can use only glucose is some of it being routed to the cysts? or is that a precious resource that those few organs are hoarding i.e. red blood cells, kidney medulla, testicles?

Dear Sir/Madam, I have polycystic kidney disease, 4 degrees, I eat fruits and vegetables -90%IF you can tell me more about the glucose-free diet, I would really appreciate it, I'm confused, I don't know what to eat anymore,, In one video, you said that glucose should be removed from the diet because the cysts feed on it? IF you can tell me more about the glucose-free diet, I would really appreciate it, I'm confused, I don't know what to eat anymore,,tank you..

Thank you for shedding light into PKD. Recently In determining if I had stones, I had an ultrasound Renal of the kidney and a CT Scan w/o contrast. The reports shows at least 2 cyst. Neither my Nephrologist and Urologist, ever mentioned if I have polycystic disease. What determinines when it's PKD? Size, quantity? Thank you.

The cysts with PKD are usually fluid filled cysts. They usually cause the kidneys to enlarge over time. Your nephrologist should be able to tell you if it is PKD or not!

I’m 30, diagnosed with pkd since i was 15 , but i never went to gym, 1 month ago i started to go i’ 70 Kg , body fats 35% muscles 25% i train 3/4 per week . Idk how much protein should i take My coach made a plan for me with 100 gm protein daily. Should i be vegetarian and cut off all meat I’m really confused and scared i would hurt myself with too much protein.

Hello! Would definitely recommend getting nutrition recommendations from a renal dietitian, especially one specialized in PKD and not from a gym coach/trainer....check out the Ren.Nu program through Kidney Nutrition Institute. They have PKD programs and renal dietitians. And make sure to follow @plantbased.kidneys on Instagram. This week is PKD week and there will be a lot of information!

PKD severe case, bilateral nephrectomy 2018 without transplant, currently suffering from seriously high phosphorus (8.0) levels. On hemodialysis 3days/week 4 hours/ session and cysts now completely taking over pancreas and liver, HELP! I need actual diet recommendations ASAP

How are you? High phosphorous is relates with high protein instake. Look for meals without the phosphorous/protein that high, for example octopus, chicken, crab, Stingray...medication works fine (phosphate queloids) to capture phosphorous from your meals. That should be prescripted by your doctor

Is it a good idea to get my kidney removed if I have PKD? My doctor found a bunch of cysts on my right kidney and told me there was nothing I could do about them.. sigh

Do you think people with kidney stones can be healed by not eating eggs, tofu, and tempeh? I ask this question because I have seen the family of my cousin's employee has been healed by having a diet without eating eggs, tofu, and tempeh. Please explain Docs. Thank you very much.

You talk a lot but you fail to get to the point.you need to better explain your advice you sound like a intellectual speaker you're not in a doctor's conference your taking to people that want to hear what is good for them in a simple manner nothing personal.but she talks to much.but forgot to get to the point 👉
