Very comfortable even in bare metal but wrapped black grip tape in the U section where my middle two fingers go & now it’s REALLY comfortable. Shaped (flattened) the “chisel” (short) side a little bit with a jeweler’s file. I liked this so much that I just ordered your micro dickpick (I don’t need to “compensate” with a larger size 🤣). Those facets leave some funky holes in people too, a lot of the WW1 trench spikes had the same profile to them. 👍 The quill looks like it'd be super handy for unpicking knots in paracord or other cordage. @@wingardwearables Good to hear getting new cats bro. I'm afraid I haven't done the same yet. I moved into a new (and by "new" I mean 45 years old....) house 100 miles south of where I lived at the time, and this place has turned out to be an absolute dump that had a massive flea infestation when I moved in (which I didn't know about at the time). It's going to be an on-going problem until pest control can eradicate them properly, and it would be irresponsible of me to raise an animal in that. I'm also trying to get signed up for a trucking company, and going on the road isn't conductive to a healthy pet relationship. I had my sweetheart for about 7 years before she got really sick two days before New Years Eve, and she had to go to two vets before the second one was able to determine that she had masses on her lymph nodes and in her stomach that was preventing her from pooping/peeing. She was estimated to be about 10 years old when I got her, so I figured at her age it was time and I didn't want her to suffer, so I let her go the same day we found out. It was awful.....I don't think I stopped crying for three days straight after that. Anyways.....you have great products, and I can't wait to purchase some when the budget allows. Just curious, does it hurt the hand when striking like some other Kubaton and knuckleduster style tools?
@wingardwearables2 жыл бұрын
It does not. So you can do jabs, haymakers, hammerfists into flesh-and-bone-like materials without pain. However, if you punch really hard into a surface that would normally injure your bare fist, then putting a Quill in your hand will NOT protect your hand from injury. You could still get injured punching bricks and telephone polls, etc. I hope this makes sense. Also I just saw your order! Thank you! It should ship out tomorrow 👍

Could you do a video on punching with it because it seems like it would yawn (turn/move) in your hand if you happened to hit something with resistance/hard and I think that could hurt I also think if you punch something with a lot of force against something with substance it would hurt your hand I'm not knocking your product I just want to see if I'm wrong or not thank you
@wingardwearables2 жыл бұрын
Please explain to me your reasoning. Because if you do a punch “with a lot of force against something with substance”-what is something with substance? If I clobber a telephone pole or an oak pallet-it’s going to hurt my bare hand with or without the Quill, or brass knuckles, or many other hand held objects. If you hit a flesh-and-bone target, is that “something with substance”? Do you want to see me hit a pig head or something? Just trying to understand your question.
@strwf2 жыл бұрын
@@wingardwearables when I say hit something with substance I mean something like hitting a person ( not that I want you to hit a person) who's wearing a carhartt coat and you hit his cellphone in his pocket or you hit his belt or you hit his head. Again, please don't take this as me trolling I truly would like to see this in action.i have bought things before and I will test them only to find out that they hurt your hand or they move around in your hand when you hit something hard. To me if your attacked your adrenaline will be going and your not going to be punching softly, it will be hard and probably wild, so you need something that's going to stay put and not hurt the user in the process thanks
@wingardwearables2 жыл бұрын

The problem I have with this is explaining why I was carrying it if I had to use it. I really don't think that would look good in front of a jury. Just like the tomahawk. Yes it's a fine weapon. But explaining why I was carrying a ax. While trying to explain I wasn't looking for trouble. The problem is our courts are full of crazy liberals. They feel the criminals are the victims. I know because I live in Baltimore city. I've experienced a home invasion. We talked to the police they acted like it was my fault a gang of punks broke in and beat an pistol whipped my wife and I. My whole level of security has now changed. I'm in the gym 3-4 times a week learning kali and jujitsu. I like your products I really do just have the issues I explained so please don't think I'm bad mouthing your designs I just think in this day and age things need to be for something else but work also well as a weapon, or they are nonlethal

"Since being a victim of a home invasion, I've taken it upon myself to be armed in case of a reoccurence." And this one usually works, "I was put into a situation where I felt like I had to fight for my life."
@wingardwearables2 жыл бұрын
Terrible that happened to you and your wife. I think I get what you’re saying, and it’s certainly easier for the courts if you are carrying something that has common lawful purpose. I think that’s why, in these KZbin videos such as for the Quill, I go over the everyday utility that these tools provide. We plan to do more of that in future videos for our tools, especially the tomahawks. If you carry something everyday and use it everyday, then you can honestly say “I use this for X,Y, and Z all the time” establishing a reason for its presence, why you carry it. Hope this makes sense.
