Why are people asking for "rulings" on insurance? There was no such thing at the time of the prophet. Use common sense and see if it fits your situation and your budget. Act ethically and honestly, and make sure the contract is clear and the company is reputable.

Subhanallah this is what happens when these blocks and self appointed imams are making the haram halal, we have watered down this deen to every haram being a necessity. Its a total joke. Instead of solving the problem, these jokers are happy to sit back and call the haram a necessity. Health/car insurance is not just gharar its money for money transactions that is 2 forms of riba, where else cell phone service/buffet are a small type of gharrar that is permissible (such as when buying a house you don't need to inspect every single atom of cracks etc...), and next its not riba. We have jahiliyah and misguidance upon misguidance now, our leaders and imams and muftis are the biggest of these ignorants.
