Wait till you see your fuel mileage going down the road it's amazing what a difference it makes. I got 17's on my 2014 and i get almost 900kms to a tank when highway driving. Mam I love how good the gas mileage is with the stock 17 inch rims both on dry Canadian roads and harsh winter roads I get up around 800km a tank easy on highway if not more. Currently my stocks have the stock mids and snows and the second aftermarket wheels that came in the deal have the winter tires on them but both get about the same mileage on my 18 ram 1500 v6 which is perfect cause I travel 1000km 1 way to work and another home once a month

My daily drive is also a Sport(2016). Living north of lake Ontario our winters are cold and long. I also changed out my 20's for factory 17's and I find winter driving much more pleasurable. The 20's just seemed to float above the snow and traction was lousy. The 17's not only had much better grip but I also noticed better gas mileage. The 20's will go back on come late spring.

It’s not only the weight difference it’s where said weight is located from the center of rotation. On our Funny Car we went from a Sanders wheel to the Weld Delta Vs. the Delta V is only 2 lbs lighter but the conical design moves the mass closer to the center of rotation. We make 11,000 hp. You wouldn’t think 2 pounds would do much but it did. We had a ton more wheel speed early in the run helping the car get up on the tire sooner through the shake zone.

Keep the 17's! First, unless you get the right (not to be confused with correct) size rubber on the 24's, you have a totally different diameter size wheel/tire. I have a 2015 Laramie which use to have which HAD the stock 20's that were replaced by 17's from a Rebel. The 20's with the stock rubber were/are 0.1 inches larger in diameter than the 17's with the stock to the Rebel Toyo rubber. Said another way, my speedometer reads exactly the correct speed (and the odometer reads the correct distance traveled) with no change necessary. Even the 1" or so total larger overall diameter on your 24" tires makes the speed/distance you perceive incorrect. That one inch makes your tires travel 1.57075 inches (pi - as in the diameter of a circle is 3.1415 times the diameter divided by 2) more for each revolution of your wheel. (That may seem to be a small number, but with your wheel turning somewhere around 1700 revolutions in a minute times 60 minutes in a hour, they add up quickly.) In other words, you are traveling a longer distance for each revolution of your wheel/tire and to do it you have to be going faster than your unadjusted speedometer/odometer are calculating. Secondly, in my opinion, the Rebel style wheels look FAR FAR better than ANY of the other Ram wheels - bar none. But that is just my opinion; the facts about speed and mileage speak for themselves.

This shows the effect of unsprung weight. The 17's are lighter and shorter, meaning less rotating mass and better gear ratio. I want to replace my 20's on my 2012 Ram with Mamba M14's and 275/60R17's for better acceleration. I'm also thinking of going with an aluminium driveshaft.

Ford specifies thousands of $$$ on the GT350R for carbon fiber wheels, just for a weights savings a bit less than you had and it makes a huge difference in performance. I can just imagine what 26 pounds does on each corner will do for you.

26lbs per wheel of rotational mass is a big difference! It won't change the top speed of the truck but it will change how fast it can get there.

Older vehicles which i dont recomend but can be done and its dangerous you try to start your vehicle once your at the govern speed itll shutoff but you turn the key back and start up again and itll turn back on while you maintain your foot on the pedal and then the computer wont know that it was in saftey and your able to top out after that. But i wouldn't try it its best you buy a tuner. They set the governer at the speed you want it but that doesnt mean itll get to that top speed it all depends on the power your engine has to get there.

for guys wondering what the diff is on 17" setup vs 20" its about 15-18 lbs heavier on the 20" setup Stock. that will vary depending on treadlife and wheel balance but thats the ballpark. Small loss in economy and performance but because the SRA's are lower rolling resistance, the difference in economy is basically a wash.

The silver on silver with the chrome lugs looks awesome it matches and doesn't make my OCD go crazy lol. My 2018 ram 1500 3.6L v6 SLT came with the stock 17 inch ram wheels just like those and I love the look of them with the body colour white on my truck plus they help a lot with gas mileage. My second set or aftermarket tires that I got in my deal came with some pretty good looking rims but they are black with little to no shine or gloss so to me they seem kinda boring but they are far more expensive and cool looking. If I could show you the close up picture youd see what I mean from my perspective. All in all I like both stock and the second set I got but I worry too much about scratching the aftermarket ones so I'm gonna switch them to my summer tires which are the stock mud and snows that suck in the harsh Canadian winters

Well the difference with small wheels and large wheels have pros and cons. Small wheel pro faster acceleration its lighter and mpg stop faster. Cons traction issues you lose top speed the wheels will spin as fast as they can at a high speed to where your truck is reving. A huge wheel better traction better top speed better appearance. Cons mpg hurts a little slow acceleration wieghts more harder to stop. Higher speed revs are not high as a small wheel but you get a higher speed.

Shouldn't be an issue to lower the back to level it! Just keep in mind towing you'll be nose high unless you get some airbags but other than that no reason you cant!

Hey Kelly these are the OEM ones that came stock on my truck. On the 3rd gens I prefer the standard black housing DEPO lights with a LED or HID bulb. I think it looks more aggressive and less cheesy to be honest! 😎

Yeah KMC wheels are usually heavy and im betting they are 10" wide. You'll see a drop in mileage no doubt. Also another factor is what tires you choose too! Offroad and big tires will weigh more.
