1:37:00 I think this is what happened with my awakening. Endless suffering and feeling trapped physically and most importantly mentally. This was so painful I thought about ending my life to end the suffering. The truth is reality, what happened, therefore is absolute. A contradiction can be truthful because God is a miracle, an impossibility possible, “a segment is finite” and “a segment is infinite” are both truthful statements because any finite part of infinite is infinite. The standard under which we judge what is good or bad, truth or lie, is the consequences. If a bridge is built with the wrong calculations it would fall. And you might look up the psalm Jesus referred to in that quote, to better understand its meaning. Listen to yourself, and notice how in this conversation conceit was driving you, because it feels so good to feel better than others, to feel that you are a god. Isn't this the same as the temptation Satan was often depicted doing? This was the devil's very first temptation! And he is often described trying to make us think too highly of ourselves, instead of realizing the core message of Jesus, that we are fallible sinners and we need salvation. Jesus was often teaching that we should be humble, we should be meek. I'm definitely going to be reading some of his poems I see they so pure/potent/truthful that they included some of his writings in the Sikhism scripture. I felt very scared and uncomfortable when he pointed the finger at me saying those things at around 1:06:00. It was almost for a minute like I was in pain, thinking "does he wanted me to die?", like he insulted me, his finger piercing through the screen and right through my heart. That strange feeling you experienced, that sense of being "insulted", "hurt", that sense of "dying", that my friend is your ego. And it doesn't exist, nor did it ever exist. But what does exist is an illusion. Your ego is an illusion. And when Leo was pointing right at that illusion and disparaging it, it losed power, it dissolved. You see, it is basically the most obvious thing in the world and right therefore you can't recognize it. The ego has a function, which is to protect you (remember: there's no such thing as an ego!). You know, if it wasn't for that sense of "I", you wouldn't know which mouth to feed with your spoon and who payed dinner :D So when that illusion comes to an end in such a "forced" manner, it is perfectly normal and I'd even say to a certain degree healthy to feel uncomfortable and slightly threatend, for your very sense of "I" is ostensibly in danger :) Don't worry, nothing is wrong.

Is it true? 2. Can I absolutely know it’s true? 3. How do I react when I believe that thought? (What happens, what images of past/future, emotions do you experience). 4. Who or what would you be without that thought? 5. Turn the original statement around. Example) Thought: That’s a tree 1. Is it true? Yes 2. Can I absolutely know it’s true? Hmmm. I guess I can’t really know. 3. What happens when you experience that thought? It’s mundane. Life is boring, same shit every day. 4. Who or what would you be without that thought? Curious 5. Turn it around. -It’s not a tree. (“Tree” is a sound, how can a sound be that thing) (At night it’s just a dark blob) (Written “tree” is not actually 🌲)

I was listening to this and at about 1:10:00 I closed my eyes and I got a spinning sensation. This has only happened twice before - once doing kriya yoga 2 years ago and once meditating 7 years ago. The more I’m able to focus and be present the more intense the spinning becomes. The more distracted I am, the less I am able to connect with that experience. Not sure what it is or means.

I was listening to this while I was on the elliptical machine with my eyes closed and I too got a spinning sensation at about 1:05:00. I opened my eyes feeling terrified, then Leo says - you disappear, I mean you.... and at that moment I felt that I lost the grip of the reality as I knew it to be. It felt like fluid slow motion like visual with very high resolution and my heart beating like crazy. I stopped my workout and the video and thought about what happened for a long time. I never had a panic attack before so I am assuming this is what a panic attack must feel like - very scary!
