Hi Lucy, We live in Yorkshire and I would like to ask you if I may where you bought your Janome 5270QDC as we are going to buy one but don't want th warranty tied to the shop but want it from Janome themselves?

Hi, that's a very good question. I am not a trading standards expert, so I can't give you advise, but I can tell you where I bought my sewing machine from and my experince. I bought my machine from Sewing Machines Direct. www.sewingmachines.co.uk/ I chose them because I liked the way I could compare the various models and there were positive reviews about the company. Everything was clear and each page has the warranty spelt out, if you expand the 'plus's' you can see this. I also chose to go to J shop and purchase a 3 year extended warranty to add an additional 3 years j-shop.co.uk/collections/computerised. The machine arrived quickly and well packaged from SMD. That was my experience. Hope that helps.
