Wow, Scott. If you can get a wild squirrel to trust you enough to touch them, then you're such a warm person! Animals pick up on kindness and affection. They feel the vibe of people. I cracked up when you said "you be careful, darlin'". That was so sweet. It sounded like any mom sending their kid off to school. That's priceless.

If someone is born with a normal functioning brain with normal human emotions decides they are going to become cruel towards people, but actually has to push themselves to commit murder, torture or the like, what could that be considered? Almost seems like the exact opposite of a psychopath. They don’t have to suppress the violent emotions, rather they have to actively have the heinous thoughts.

I have extreme narcissists in my family. My stepsister is unbearable to be around, she is so bad that she makes me feel physically sick. I cut complete contact with her. My daughter treats me with disrespect and I still see her I just don’t go anywhere with her. She has dinner at my apartment with me sometimes but we have very little contact if any. In a nano second it was over my head only 30 feet above me, very large, no noise whatsoever if just seemed to float, and it just floated off to the south of me. Interesting time to be a witness. On the Narcissist Eye Dodge question @19:00, agree totally. The eyes are the least of what's going on there. The questioner is 100% spot on though, they are scanning for keywords, always. They are listening with an ear of "how does this benefit me?" They really don't care to hear the story, they want to know the bottom line of whether or not they themselves are impacted in any way.

@ChristineSowards-w6p6 күн бұрын
So much talk of psychopaths! You often talk about the direct eye contact being the biggest tell. As a child my folks and kin would always tell me to look them in the eyes when they were grilling me on something. Later i was taught that NOT looking someone in the eyes was a sign if dissociation and deception. Looking at someone is also a sign of genuine interest and caring. I think as a young adult i made a point of looking folks in the eyes until i learned that it makes some uncomfortable. Then i purposely started breaking contact, and 30+ years later it has never been an issue. Comment?
@ScottRouse6 күн бұрын
I’ve never ever ever said direct eye contact is the biggest tell or Q in making decisions about someone being a psychopath or not. Good enough?

I am so very very sorry that i have misinterpeted all of the 12+ TBP shows about psychopaths that i have watched. Yes, I do know about CLUSTERS of behavior. 12:12 from experience, I disagree. As someone w clinical high functioning depression and anxiety ; when I'm focused on storing medication in the appropriate designated space; honestly you could work folding laundry, it's irrelevant. Back on topic... and a workmate comes up behind me and squeezes me to *initiate* some laughs usually ends in them feeling some unwarranted type of guilt for getting reminded by the pharmacist butting in with "of course her body is going to react like that and shut down her entire frontal cortex for a good hour if you do that to her" and no. I don't wear a victim tshirt nor romantize the diagnosis which seems to be a trend now a days.. usually occurs because I am so playful and joyful. People forget sometimes. I think you forgot that end of the spectrum when answering but hey, I'm just one person speaking objectively on a subjective matter.
