I had a friend for several years but never found out what he did for work. His wife told me a bit. Very nice, calm, quiet man. Played guitar. Had longer hair. I never would have guessed that he was a professional FBI interrogator and trained police departments and other FBI interrogators. I didn’t believe it so I asked him and confirmed it. I love, love, love your videos! I wish I’d found you when I was still working. I’ve had to deal with hundreds of unstable patients and their families over the years. I knew a dog raised by a narcissist and it was a copy of its owners personality. It was very jelous, spiteful, full of pride, entitled and easily offended. It injured three younge children at separate times in its life but was always protected from its narcissistic owner and faced no consequences. I also think fight dogs are so abused that they could be considered sociopathic.
That was my question too !! Did I miss the signs of “ crazy “ because I wanted him to be the fairy tale !?

I've got a comment that has nothing to do with the subject at hand but it's kind of relevant. It's regarding the people that are doing the captions for various videos. When they hire these people, they hire them because of the speed that they can type, instead of the accuracy of their transcription. And it drives me crazy to know that some people are dependent on these transcriptions, to know what is being said, and they're NOT getting an accurate picture.

Hi Scott, I didn't find out until last week that you are a musician. Totally makes sense though :) I was already thinking, if you guys on BP were a string quartet, what instruments you'd be? (I'm a violinist). Anyway, here's what I got: violins Greg and Chase (decide between yourselves who takes violin 1 and 2) , you Scott on viola and Mark on cello However, I don't really think C and G seem like violinists so let's scrap 'string' quartet. Here are the instruments I have chosen for you (selection of 3 each): Chase: clarinet/synthesizer/harp Greg: piano/oboe/trumpet Scott: Viola/hurdy-gurdy/handpan (guitar is a given) Mark: Cello/trombone/maracas If you are coveting Mark's maracas I'll throw in some castinets as a bonus! 😂 Love you guys! I've been in five bands over the years playing drums and have found the guitarists to be quite interesting. I cannot diagnose psychopathy yet I found the last band was straight out of Spinal Tap. The guitarist had one riff, the same for every song. He decided to name the band with a vulgar name, called in his two friends who were meth addicts and couldn't play an instrument. I worked at the same company with him and his second wife who he was cheating on with another colleague. A genius move on his part, they went through a messy divorce that was public knowledge and humiliating for her. He couldn't handle his drugs, he'd smoke pot and act like a goose. I'm glad that chapter in my life is over, technically I've been in four bands and one fiasco.

Yes. Animals, including reptiles have emotional lives. There is robust information in the scientific literature about animal cognition and emotions; and a really interesting book came out recently about the emotional lives of reptiles. Remember that vertebrates share the same or similar neurobiology, brain structures, and produce the same or similar hormones and neuro chemicals. While we can’t diagnose animals with human personality disorders or mental illness because we cannot ask them questions about their subjective experience, we can conduct behavior analysis and say that for example this dog is exhibiting “PTSD-like” behavior or this horse has “depression-like” symptoms.

I've noticed that some people jut their jaw forward or do lip pursing because (it seems anyway) that they want to maintain a good jawline (instead of having a double chin or a protruding neck slope) unconsciously. I remember meeting a guy who was really interested in me and he would purse his lips a lot if he was slouched and his jawline was "more relaxed." lol. I remember being curious as to why he pursed his lips because it was rare to come across and seemed unusual. Maybe this would be a part of someones baseline, like shirt pulling if youre self-conscious about a belly? I wonder if those things would be considered baseline.

That’s interesting the question on animals having certain personality traits because many years ago I was watching a documentary about a grisly bear. I am not sure what the title of the documentary was, all I know is that the documentary was about this rogue bear, Canada maybe or North America who was going around killing other male grisly bears and than leaving he’s calling card which was ripping of the penis of these bears and leaving the penis near the dead bears body. Rangers in the area thought it may have been a crazy hunter going around murdering male bears and then cutting off the penis as some kind of statement. It had the authorities baffled, and the rangers baffled. Something had to be done about this killer hunting down bears and why only male bears. After a lot of investigation someone said I wonder if it could be an older larger male bear doing this. Another question was asked that if it is a cranky older territorial larger bear, why would the bear bite off the penis and carefully place it beside the dead bear? The attention switched from a crazy hunter to a male bear in that area. I think cameras were set up and finally they caught the culprit. The killer turned out to be this huge old male grisly bear that they removed from the area. I think they let the bear die in captivity because he was extremely dangerous to male bears. He didn’t have a beef with the females just the males. So I do believe that some animals can be very odd in the way they act out. This huge big bear by the way when they caught him was extremely scary looking and oh boy was the bear big. They needed a big cage for this predator. The question remains though why was he ripping off penises and placing the organ so neatly near the body. It would make a good horror movie. Serial Killer Bear. 🙉🙊🙈
