If we’re capable of finding enjoyment in each moment, in the simplest and most mundane of things, we don’t have to search for or chase after happiness. It’s already there!

Chastised for been happy in younger years because I was annoying someone else ,so huge guilt ,it's safer to not be happy then won't get in trouble. always noticed the guilt

Woody Allen had a one-liner years ago that went something like “I can never be happy as long as there’s one suffering person in the world.” Buddha acknowledged suffering in life and suggested how to decrease unnecessary suffering. The ability to empathically relate to others suffering allows us to be more compassionate & to perceive how we can contribute to decreasing suffering in us & the world. We are not meant to be happy all the time, nor is it necessary to be miserable all the time…”Sometimes this, sometimes that.” Peace!

Thank You Eric . Could You elaborate on how to neutralize subconscious patterns when they are recognized ?
@NondualityChannel Жыл бұрын
Look at it deeply and see it completely (source, roots, origin, etc.)...this brings subconscious/unconscious conditioning to the conscious mind where it must rectify itself with current understanding. For example, the pattern/conditioning may look ridiculous or futile. Just sit with this until the inner resistance, emotional charge, or whatever inner body feeling where you could feel the conditioning fades away.

Through yoga and deep meditation being happy is not the goal because happiness is so transitory. Rather than happy I am blissful, a feeling that stays with me regardless of circumstance.
@NondualityChannel Жыл бұрын
That is happiness. Non-transitory and uncaused happiness.

@@NondualityChannel Sadhguru has never said he was happy, he has always stated that he is "blissed out" I have always been a happy person but being in bliss is in a whole new strata, a warm tingling feeling in my heart that spreads to my entire body.

Sir, what do you mean by "meditation = listening practice" ?😂
@NondualityChannel Жыл бұрын
What was said on the "Community" tab was "You could think of meditation as practicing listening." Contemplate it yourself...it was said like a Zen koan. You know...much is lost when it is explained.

I don't think it "means" anything, it's just the experience of it. The "meaning" is just the mind getting involved in what is basically just an experience, as if to say that the experience is not enough in itself, and that it "must mean something else", it must signify something else, it must be a sign for something else. Mind is just meaning derived from "future" objectives. It's just the mind trying to get back your attention. Meditation is the opposite of that. It's just listening, feeling the present experience, no meaning required. You could say meditation is meaningless. It's just the listening, watching, observing of what is.
