Satan, doesn't really mean to do anything. Even as a believer, we have a sin nature. Paul tells us to learn how to control our own vessel, he tells us to take every thought captive making it obedient to Christ. The Bible says the word of God is sharper than any two-edged sword dividing even the soul in the spirit. The majority, walk through this life making decisions based on their feelings. We have a thought, that thought creates a feeling, then we make a decision based on how we feel. The feeling may be real, that doesn't mean there's truth to that feeling. We as believers, need to learn how to live according to the word of God in faith not how we feel. The Bible tells us that He who walks in the spirit does not gratify the desires of the flesh. You can be a born-again believer, and still walk in the flesh. Just my two cents

You mentioned Netflix and that's exactly the reason I searched on this topic because I feel like I'm not being sober-minded by indulging in Netflix shows that promote ungodly living and ideologies. It’s crazy how even something as small as buying shoes can become a temptation from the enemy. See I never was taught about the enemy’s deception I had to learn it as a full grown adult by reading the word and by watching videos like this. Awesome video brother! God Bless 🙏🏻

That’s what I was thinking I was battling drinking and smoking occasionally wondering if it was the right thing to do but once I started to look at having a sober mind in the since of being aware and reading my Bible the urge to do those things just left me

Even if they haven't had anything that could potentially intoxicate. the Bible tells us to take captive every thought making it obedient to Christ and to be transformed by the renewing of her mind also to learn how to control our own vessel. I have met many whose mind is not present it's floating about worrying about this worrying about that etc. I'm guilty of this as well, at times I am walking more in accordance with my flesh than I am with the spirit. So it'll be so reminded would apply to me in that situation. I really need to redirect my thoughts and my focus in times like this so I will in fact be sober minded
