FIRST That very important message out of the way, I need to say: brilliant video. I find the concept of memory being your very existence fascinating because yeah, to me, it's true. Who are you without your identity? And if your identity is created by your experiences in life, can you honestly have one without your memories of said experiences? And just like in nier games, I think there's many fates worse than death in real life. One I fear most is exactly the sorta illnesses that takes away said memories, said identity. It's horrifying to see, and it must be even more so to live through. On a side note, another thought experiment I really like that relates to the concept of identity (and thus, existence) is the ship of theseus. Applying it (loosely) to a person's memories and identity, we're left with the following question: if your memories are transplanted to another body (so, if a new ship was built using only the parts of the old one) would this being be the previous you, or something new? I loved this video, genuinely a fascinating subject to me. NOW GIVE US MORE, THANKS.
