The curly baby part was so relatable 😂 although my mom LOVES my curly hair, i was too lazy to brush it so she had to do it and take care of the knots Unfortunately I had friends that told me „your hair would be more beautiful if it was straight“. I never straightened it myself but it really hurt my self esteem for a while. Now I embrace my curly hair and don’t care what the haters say. Slay 💅✨

Girl. Fellow curly head here;I just tried a new brush deep cleaning method this week where you soak it in a baking- soda and apple cider vinegar mix for a while, then rinse and use a toothbrush to clean between the rows...it's amazing!! Bye bye product buildup👋✌️

As someone with curly 3b/3c hair, when people ask if I "brush my hair" or straighten it, I cringe inside.. I always got hella split ends, and straightening it totally shows it and I feel that it doesn't look right. (Like you can tell that my hair isn't naturally straight when it's straightened 😄) and then I only comb it out when I get out of the shower on wash day. (Which is once a week. If i wash it more...then it's shed city.) Edit: BTW, you are slaying the hair and outfit today Chica! ✨️ 🥰 💟 Edit again: also that brushed out look along with some flowers in your hair and some neon eye shadow or some purple circle Janis Joplin shades gives out total hippie vibes! You can remove the hair but there is still residue on your brush and bristles that can get gunky. I put all my hair stuff in a sink with really hot water some Dawn and some bleach and let them soak about 30 mimutes.Then rinse them in hot water.THEN they are clean.

7:10 👏🏽 my older sister(we weren’t raised together) lived 25 years not knowing she had curly hair. She wore weaves 24/7 and would compliment my curly hair. Her edges were super grown out and I saw curls in her “kitchen”. I told her she too had curly hair and should try curl products. OMG SOOO GLAD SHE DID! I felt that pull and pain in my roots when you were brushing. Not to be pushing products, but it might help to get an eco-friendly detangling brush. It worked wonders for my 3A curls with no pain at all. Wetbrush and Fiora make mine, but I hear the EZ Detangler is a god-send for tighter curls too. They might be worth a try for you too.

I love your hair! I think we have a similar curl pattern. I use a shower comb for my hair and it works really good. I can relate on losing hair because I lose some when I’m in the shower and when I get out. I’ve been using the garnier fructise leave in conditioner for curly hair but I want to try something new.
