This game shows one thing. Gameplay over Graphics
@Hadaron5 жыл бұрын
Jose Relvas The graphics are nice, but they aren’t the “HYPER-REALISTIC 1080P 60 FPS!” Graphics some people say are important. And that’s what the original comment was saying: the game doesn’t have the best graphics, but the gameplay is more important, and the gameplay is good. Therefore, no matter the graphics, the game is good because of the gameplay.
@netiosys46775 жыл бұрын
I wouldn't want the graphics to be different, i'd just like that he made a second game or developed on the story. Endless mode is a bit too bland, and i already know all the scripted people' stories in the game.

For pete sake people, Arstotzka is based on East Germany, NOT the USSR. Even the name sounds German: In German the "S" is pronounced as a "Z", the "Z" is pronounced as the letters "TS".

True, but East Germany was owned by the USSR post-WWII up until the collapse of the USSR, and was governed as such.

I would be the most honorable border security guy in history... In the game, I can't get passed day 23 I think because I refuse to let people with wrong documents in even if some upnose official tells me to let someone through. Rules are clear - You break any rule? I don't care if you're god or if you're a magical pixie who can make Arstotzka free of illnesses or whatever. If your papers are wrong, you're not getting in regardless of what you do... That's why I can't get through day 23. I just can't internally accept someone who breaks the rules given to me.

What same situation? If I were in the place of the people wanting to get in I'd get irritated if the bloody state would change what's needed from day to day (Which the game did while dealing with like 8 people per day.) While it was slightly easier to return home than your average Joe, even as an American citizen I was treated with a high level of scrutiny. That’s what I want in my country’s security

In the EU an ID card is enough even on the AirPort as long as you travel within the borders of the EU, if you go to the US however, you will need a passport.

This game was disturbing to me, although considering the hardships faced by a border agent is significant. Please provide more scientific content inside games.

so, the game isn't 100% accurate but it's about 90% accurate, then again, it takes place in 1982 so they had less paperwork back then so it's 100% accurate for the time period it takes place in

epiccoolguy751 Yep, it’s the lyrics to “Ode to Joy.” In English, they mean Joy, beautiful sparkle of god, Daughter of Elysium, We enter, fire-drunk, Heavenly, your holy sanctuary. Your magics bind again _What custom has strictly parted._ _All men become brothers_ Where your tender wing lingers. (emphasis mine)

Good video but it trivializes the reality of racism and prejudice at borders. Generalization of immigrants and minorities is a huge problem in the US and Canada, and as an Iranian I have first hand experience with this (and I'm sure other immigrants do as well). Being rewarded for "trusting your gut instinct" with that "shifty guy" isn't necessarily the right outlook to society, and needs to be re-examined as well. Not to mention it's one of the biggest problems African Americans face with the police on a day to day basis. I think if you're going to make a video that isn't scientific, and more related to social issues, you should at least try and address multiple sides to it, to make it less biased. Just an opinion. Love your videos overall. Thanks. P.s. to all the racist youtubers who are going to call me a terrorist and the like, I've heard it all before.

I'm a native born citizen to Arab-Immigrants to the U.S., and I have never experienced any discrimination in any of the many times I left the country, (to Canada, Syria, etc.) Anyways, if discrimination happened at the border, it would be way better than the situation in some European Countries where "refugees" organize into grooming gangs, Terrorist attacks happen, etc.(Sweden for example)

We shouldn’t justify racism but it isn’t really racist, for example: most people waiting in a line will slouch with their weight on one leg, a possible indication of malicious plan could be someone with their knees ever so slightly bent and their weight distributed between his leg, does it necessarily mean they will do something? no, but could it be an indication? Yeah
@armincartoonist6 жыл бұрын
I'm not saying that it's black and white and that there's one right answer, but there is an overwhelming amount of evidence from psychologists doing risk-perception research that shows we overestimate the threat of dramatic deaths (dying by lightning, flood and murder) and underestimate more immediate threats posed by asthma, stroke and diabetes. At the time of 9/11, for instance, it was estimated that 1595 more people were killed in car accidents than would be expected in an ordinary year. Which is more than 6 times the number of passengers who died on the hijacked planes. If we don't control fear, it can destroy us, and lead to much more harmful stereotypes - which can backfire in the long-run, creating the outcomes we were afraid of in the first place.
