I found listening to you talk about your identity deeply relatable and yet it highlighted so many of the distinct differences between what gender one's assigned affects one's non-binary identity. As an amab agender person, things like the whole "non-binary is often seen as a skinny, androgenous, white afab" you had mentioned a few times is something that regardless of my age (also mid-late 20s) continues to rock me pretty hard, because I look pretty masculine. Like it's rough to want to look really pretty but also have a mustache that I really like, you know? Either way, lovely video I love your perspective and you've helped me have a night where I'm going to look more introspectively about my identity in a positive and productive way, thank you!

This sort of thing is interesting to watch as a cis white guy that pretty much never sees LGBTQ+ people around where I live. I do have a gay friend that I learned a bit from but that's about it, nonbinary is really something I am not knowledgeable on at all and I think watching videos like this helps me understand it better. Also wow you have a nice singing voice

Finally got around to finishing this video after class. I am very happy I waited until then because some of your answers had me very teary eyed. Thank you so much for making this video! On a personal note my brothers stepchild just came out as nonbinary and my brothers been struggling to get his head around the idea of nonbinary and for lack of a better word been too "embarrassed" to talk about it with them. As far as my nibling has told me, my brother hasn't crossed any lines and has been trying his best to use the proper pronouns and accommodate them as best as he can. But, has been for lack of a better word "confused" and concerned it's just a "phase". Thank you for making this video, this and negative legends video a really good and simple jumping off points for my brother. I think my brother needs to hear it from his child most but maybe these videos can help him bridge that subject. Thank you for your video again Kiki and I hope you have a great rest of your day!

I'm so glad to hear you made those many little, but important, changes in your life. Those things that we sometimes like to neglect really do make a big difference and are usually hard but worth it. And in general I'm super thankful that you can be an admirable presence for younger(or perhaps not) non-binary folks as they try to navigate the complexities of their own self-discovery and actualization. Have a good day and thank you for being!

I love this video. I love that you're working on being healthy, and happy, and as someone who recently came out as non-binary this video helped me coming to terms with dysphoria that i experienced before i knew how to qualify it. I just resonate with the stuff you talked about and im so happy to hear you're starting to love your body and your gender as you come to understand them both. This random internet stranger is proud of you. p.s. I will now exclusively refer to myself as non-hetero, that was super funny

So happy I found your channel. I've recently started opening up with how not-entirely-cis I am, and this video really makes me feel seen. Also, totally digging the movie reviews. Kind of a random questions, but are there any youtubers/video esayists that have inspired you, either in form or content?

Fellow Enby but I'm not your perfect friend match. Thank you for talking about the isolating feeling, the feeling like you're a pioneer in your social circles, and the feeling like you have to come out forever. Paradoxically it made me feel less alone in my own experience that overlaps in many ways with yours. thank you, thank you, thank you.

Ok so, I'm writing this on July 8th 2024. I realized I was non-binary literally three weeks ago. The way I explained it to friends is that I was never really all that excited about being a man. I didn't straight up hate it, but it was more of a "it is what it is" kind of thing. Like yeah, I liked certain things that were associated to boys, but it was more so just me doing my thing, what I liked. And since I grew up alongside an older brother, we were treated as boys, My parents never pushed the idea of being a man for any of us. I see gender as an spectrum, and I have had things for one section of it my whole life, and they've been ok for the most part.I wanna explore more stuff, regardless of the gender they've become associated with.

So I'm like 9 minutes in so far, but wanted to comment before I made food at which a different video may be on when I'm done. Personally for my experience as non-binary, I started openly identifying as it very young, way back in 2003 when I was 8 years old. Even after all that time though, absolutely no one in my life offline will refer to me as they/them, and while I at times may be slightly annoyed at it, for me it's just a "I know who I am that's all that really matters" kind of thing. I should say I mostly only get annoyed when my mom or someone gets mad at me for insisting against he/him or otherwise. I've never struggled with the "how non-binary am I" thing, and I think it's interesting hearing about it, as I've never thought about it before. To me, feminine and masculine don't exist. That's just for me personally, I don't find anything as girly or boyish, they're just normal things to me and I know some people don't like that I think like that, and I understand because it would probably feel invalidating to others, but it's not intended as such, so I'm sorry. So I don't actually know what queer means, I THINK it's a sexuality or something? I'm not really sure, but if it is then I guess on that subject I was more confused about it and originally when I was 11, I went by pansexual with an asterisk, as it never truly fit, but was the closest I knew. But then when I was 16 I learned what demisexual is and have gone by that since, as it's exactly what I felt. Hmm...sorry for typing a bit, meow

I just want to point out the difference between bisexual and pansexual isnt of you include or not trans people or you are trans (it's a common misconception) The difference is bisexual people feel attraction for more than one gender, sometimes the same as them and the opposite, and sometimes all genders, but gender does play a factor in attraction Pansexual folks can be attracted to all genders BUT the difference is gender doesn't play a factor in the attraction. That means a set of characteristics different to gender can trigger the attraction and that's why they could be attracted to any gender but doesn't mean they are, not all the time So, whatever label you like is fine, i just get annoyed by the whole "they are interchangeable" they aren't, there is s difference between the terms, even if many bisexuals ignore they are actually pan because they have history and connection to the bi term and vice versa Great video, is lovely to know more about you
