more affordable application and feels amazing when you find the perfect preload/spring setup for your driving style. although if i did have the money to go bags i probably would because of the surprise effect if you do it right. make it look like youre sitting at a not so aggressive stance then air out and surprise people.

Oh I definitely will want to have a static car once I get another solid daily for a few reasons 1) to experience what it’s like to live that low life and piss people off behind you when you’re swerving to avoid bumps and potholes 😂 2) just to be able to say you have done it 3) because the photos and videos of the car would be dope!

Never. No desire to bag either. Why? Cuz the need for speed! If it doesn't provide some function it doesn't need to be. My goal as is currently:. Build a 200mph capable rx8 using the original renesis engine design (iron ports not side ports) that is reasonably daily drivable and safe/stable to sustain 200mph without overheating or frequent engine issues. That includes working A/C and heater,. Working dash and stereo, all seats in place and capable of going shopping still.

So the car that I am working on building is 5th gen grand am gt. If I could have my ideal setup, I would go static. In general, I would go static because I don't wish to go super low. I just want better handling and that slightly lower look. Plus if your low and static, and you can do it without ruining your car or wheels, it gives you OG status

@EvLSpectre5 жыл бұрын
I will agree..... S chassis cars are never finished..hahaa. But He is right on the static vs bags. When driving, aired up the bags look horrible, and yes, also very right on the margin of error. With bags you at least have some leeway. If the fitment on the fender wall ain't the best when aired out, who cares, the car is parked. Oh you scraped or rubbed a bit while driving, just air up some more. But you do not have that choice with static. I have redone my wires inside my front wheel well multiple times. I have hammered away with a small hammer to make some more room for wider tires, ripped off bumpers countless times, replaced my exhaust a few times from dents, lost fuel capacity because I had to raise my tank and hammer it a bit to make sure it does not hit the ground, and countless others. But I guess taking the car out sliding doesn't help either. I think its also a street car vs show car thing too as much as it is pride. More static cars do not worry as much when they scrap a fender or lip, while the air guys freak out.
@PokeFit35 жыл бұрын

With bagged cars, you don't see them with excessive amounts of camber because their wheels can touch the top of the fender when stationary, and can be lifted when it needs to be driven. You see excessive camber on static cars to get as low as possible without the wheels touching the top of the fender, because they are stationary, and cannot be adjusted while being driven.

Why dont you interview people who has lowered trucks. That would be interesting, lowering blocks, torsion bars etc. Cars with LS, coils, bagged are so common that you can have the same set up, same stance same ride quality if you have the same parts. Lowered trucks have a lot to change, lowering blocks, leaf springs, adjustment to the torsion bars, what if you alternate this with another part, what if you modify your leafs springs, what if you change the shock absorbers with this part. Its just my opinion,

I have a 2014 200 on 20's with no coilovers or anything. Bought it like that. Literally bangs fender every bump/pothole I hit (not to mention I'm in Oklahoma where potholes will literally swallow your car bc all our tax dollars go to everything but fixing roads like they claim lmao). Finally ended up eating a curb, snapping a front control arm in half/bending engine cradle/blowing a shock/cracking my rim (around $1,000-1,500 when all said and done, not counting different rims), which finally gave me more than enough incentive to change rims rather than replacing tires with cheapo's or used 1-2 times a year. Needless to say, never doing a stance and/or bigger wheels on a car again. I'll stick to aftermarket wheels with stock measurement or get another truck. Too many complications for me.
